Once there, Spellbound takes you on a journey to one of New Zealand’s most magnificent glowworm displays. You’ll see glowworms up close and learn exactly why they glow, then float quietly in a raft, on an underground river - gliding gently beneath galaxies of glowworms. The sight of thousands of softly glowing blue lights, suspended in mysterious inky blackness, deep in a cave interior is never forgotten. We guarantee you will be totally spellbound.

To make your Spellbound tour complete, we create absolute contrast by taking you to the nearby Te Ana o te Atua, (Cave of the Spirit) where clever lighting and gently sweeping paths are used to reveal fascinating stories of a cave whose river has deserted it. Dry and cool, Te Ana o te Atua holds evidence of the passing of geological events, extinct animal life and evidence of past human explorations.
