Specialized trekking guides will take you along the most beautiful National Parks of Chile. During your trip you will stay in 3* hotels in the cities and you will camp in the National Parks. The level of trekking is easy to medium with approximately 5 hours walking per day.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Departure to Santiago. Today we will depart from different airports to Santiago.

Day 2: Arrival in Santiago, free day. (Includes: Airport transfer, 1 night in 4* hotel Santiago.) You will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel in Santiago. You will stay in a lovely hotel, in the center of Providencia. Your trip will start here in Santiago where you can spend some time to explore the friendly and lively capital of Chile, surrounded by the Andes. Optional: half day city tour.

Day 3: Valparaiso and Vineyard (Includes: breakfast, lunch, transportation, private guide, 1 night in 4* Hotel Santiago). On our way to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, we will stop at a vineyard in the Casablanca Valley, Viña Mar. This vineyard is separated from the coast by just 18km, a location that has played a crucial role in developing the Viña Mar wines. The tour involves visiting the wine making facilities, the vineyards and then having the chance to sample some of the wines for which Viña Mar is famous.

We will then drive to the coastal city of Valparaíso, known as 'the jewel of the Pacific' and famous for its funiculars which transport you up into the hills from where there are always spectacular views. We will visit the port, the financial district, the squares and the monuments. By taking a walk on Concepción Hill you will have the chance to discover the small alleys and appreciate the city's views which make Valparaíso so special. On our arrival in the city of Vina del Mar, we will visit some of the main streets, neighborhoods, museums and palaces. Before returning to Santiago, we will travel along the coast from where we can enjoy the beaches and a quick look to the seaside resort known as Reñaca.

Days 4-6: Explore the Andes (Includes: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners, tent and cooking equipment, specialized trekking guide, 2 nights camping in the Andes, 1 night in 4* hotel Santiago). Chile is located between the Pacific Ocean and the 'Cordillera', the Andes. This impressive mountain ranges seems to be endless and without any signs of living creatures. We will hike to lakes, glaciers and really feel one with mother nature. During this three days trekking we will bring our food, bought by SWA and make our own meals. After 3 days trekking we will arrive in our hotel in Santiago were you can spend the night free. Note: Luggage can stay in the Hotel in Santiago, you can bring only your luggage necessary for 3 days trekking. Group equipment and food should be carried by the whole group.

Days 7-8: La Campana National Park (Includes: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, barbecue, tent, cooking equipment, entrance La Campana, specialized trekking guide, transportation, 1 night camping La Campana National Park, 1 night in 4* hotel Santiago). From the Andes we will head to a totally different piece of nature of Chile. 110 km north of Santiago in the middle of Chile’s Coastal Mountain Range lies the beautiful La Campana National Park. The Park’s privileged location makes it one of the few protected areas of continental Chile's Central Region. We will guide you through this stunning park, where you will be able to glimpse and appreciate its diverse flora and fauna which, centuries ago, captivated Charles Darwin.

On our way through the park we’ll take you to Palm Grove, where you’ll find the Chilean palms, one of the most important natural attractions in the park due to its endemic characteristics and because it is the southernmost palm tree in the world. At night we will stay at one of the campsites in the park and we will make a nice Chilean barbecue. The next day we will continue our trek before heading back to Santiago. You will spend the evening free. Note: Luggage can stay in the Hotel in Santiago, you can bring only the luggage necessary for 2 days trekking. Group equipment and food should be carried by the whole group.

Day 9: Santiago – Temuco (Includes: breakfast, transfers to bus station Santiago, bus Santiago - Temuco, 1 night in 3* Hotel Temuco). Today is a day of traveling. After breakfast we will be picked up from our hotel and transferred to the central bus station of Santiago. From here our bus will leave to our next destination, Temuco. Temuco is a city located in the ninth region of Chile. During our bus trip we will cross 4 of the 12 regions of Chile, and we will see the landscape slightly changing. We will arrive in the late afternoon in Temuco where we will check-in, in our hotel. You will spend the evening free. Note: Lunch is not included today and the bus will not stop for lunch, so make sure you will bring a lunch box with you.

Days 10-11: Conguillio National Park (Includes: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, tent, cooking equipment, entrance Conguillio, specialized trekking guide, transportation, 1 night camping Conguillio National Park, 1 night 3* hotel Pucon). Next to Temuco, Conguillio National Park is located. The park was created in 1950 by Conaf to preserve the Araucaria three. The Park has a surface of 60.833 hectares and shelters canyons, lagoons and native forests. But the beauty of the Park is the active Llaima volcano, with the height of 3125 meters and last eruption in January 2008. A local specialized trekking guide will show us around the park and we will learn everything about the native flora and fauna. We will hike a long the foot of the Llaima volcano, cross rivers and enjoy the impressive views on the lagoons. We will stay the night in our tent surrounded by beautiful nature. After two days trekking we will be picked up by a private transfer and transferred to our hotel in Pucon. The night we will have free. Note: Luggage can stay in the hotel in Temuco, we will pick it up on our way to Pucon. You can bring only your luggage necessary for 2 days trekking. Group equipment and food should be carried by the whole group.

Days 12-13: Trekking Huerquehue (Includes: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners tent, cooking equipment, entrance Huerquehue, specialized trekking guide, transportation, 2 nights at camping Huerquehue National Park). Some of Chile's most beautiful National Parks are located in this 10th region so during the day we’ll dedicate some time to visit the Huerquehue National Park. Huerquehue, famous for its more than 20 lagoons, is considered as one of the most beautiful national parks of Chile. We will enjoy a short trek passing through millenary trees (araucarias), along hidden trails with astonishing views. We will be accompanied by a professional local guide who can tell us everything about the 'jewels' of the park. We will trek for 2.5 days and stay the nights in the Park at camp site. Note: Luggage can stay in the hotel in Pucon, we will pick it up on our way to Osorno. You can bring only your luggage necessary for 3 days trekking. Group equipment and food should be carried by the whole group. In Osorno we will sent our big luggage to Puerto Varas and we will only take equipment necessary for the coming days trekking.

Day 14: Lecheria Puyehue (Includes: breakfast, lunch, dinner, transfer Huerquehue – Osorno, Transfer Osorno – Puyehue, local guide, visit to lecheria, local guide, 1 night in Cabana in Puyehue). After breakfast we continue our trek and around lunchtime we will leave the Park and head towards Osorno. In Osorno our friends from Puyehue will be waiting for us to bring us to the very special diary farm, lecheria. Carmel and Ricardo, the friendly owners of the 'Lechería', a rural cow station on the way to our accommodation. Carmel, a lovely woman, who spends her day growing fruit and vegetables, and making marmalades, will have a delicious homemade country lunch waiting for you.

After lunch it is time to meet Ricardo, an enthusiastic, friendly person who will tell you everything about his special way of cow farming, and tell you the secret of why his cows produce such outstanding quantities of milk. Ricardo has received many diplomas, certifications and awards for his work, and is visited by many universities around the world, to learn the secret of his success. He treats his 20 cows like queens. They live indoors, he bathes them in warm water, and he even plays music for them. Thanks to his special natural treatments his cows produce an average of 50 litres per day. The champion cow, gives an impressive average of 74 litres per day! If it’s time when we arrive at our accommodation and if the sun is shining, you can relax on the black beach of the Rupanco Lake, enjoying the sun and the stunning views before you end this interesting day with a delicious dinner.

Day 15: Puyehue National Park – Horse Riding Santo (Includes: breakfast, full day horse riding, entrance to the Calzoncillo waterfall, BBQ lunch, dinner, accommodation, local guide). In the early morning you will head to Santo's house, your local horse riding guide for the day. After a brief instruction of how to ride the horse you will start the horse back adventure. The first stop will be at the Calzoncillo waterfall, a small wooden shelf is made on top of the waterfall from where you can look down 400 meters and see the waterfall ending in Rupanco Lake.

You’ll continue the ride down via a steep path down, which requires following Santo's careful instructions. After a 3.5 hour ride you will arrive at Maria’s house, she will be waiting with a delicious barbecue and some nice Chilean wine. After relaxing for a while, its time to mount the horses again and head towards the Termas de Rupanco at the beach, where you can make your own lovely warm natural bath by digging a whole in the sand, and watching as natural thermal hot water will flows to the surface. Another 3.5 hours riding will bring you to the end of the horse back riding day as you arrive in Las Gaviotas, where you will stay for the night.

Day 16: Ruta de las Jesuitas - Callao (Includes: breakfast, lunch, dinner, 1 night Refugio Callao, local guide). Today you will have stunning views of the lakes, and green surrounding hills. You will visit native forests, cross rivers, pass through narrow passage ways, alongside waterfalls and cross precarious looking hanging bridges. 'La Ruta de las Jesuitas' will lead you along the foot of Volcano Puntiagudo. You will spend the night in a Refugio, which offers something a little different, the chance to relax in rustic bathtubs, made from wood logs, and filled with natural thermal hot water.

Days 17-18: Vicente Perez Rosales National Park (Includes: breakfast, lunch, boat ticket, private land transfers, entrance Saltos de Petrohué, 1 night camping in national park, 1 night 3* hotel Puerto Varas, local bilingual guide). After breakfast you will head towards Rincon and cross the famous, breathtaking All Saints Lake (Lago Todos los Santos). On arrival in Rincon, you see the impending Volcano Tronador in front of you. You will cross the lake and arrive in Petrohué. Here our new guide is waiting for us and takes us to the Osorno Volcano. We will trek the Osorno Volcano until the ski centre, on a height of 1300 meters. From here you have a marvelous view on LLanquihue lake and the volcanoes located in the region. We will have some nice lunch and will head back to our camping located next to the llanquihue lake. For the dinner we will prepare a traditional Chilean barbecue.

The second day in the national park we will hike through the native forests and we will see many rare flora and fauna species. We will hike to a special place near the All Saints Lake from where we have a spectacular view on the lake and the volcanoes. Our final destination will be Petrohué. Here we will visit the famous Petrohue waterfalls, with its clear crystal blue water. After 5 hours hiking we will brought back to our hotel where our luggage is waiting for us. The rest of the evening we will be free.

Day 19: Puerto Varas - Santiago (Includes: breakfast, airport transfer Puerto Varas to Puerto Montt, 1 night 4* hotel Santiago). Today in the morning we will get transferred to the airport of Puerto Montt to catch our flight back to Santiago. In Santiago we will transferred to our hotel and we can spend the rest of the
evening free.

Day 20: Departure back home (Includes: breakfast, airport transfer Santiago). After breakfast our driver will pick us up to bring to the airport of Santiago from where our flight back home will depart.

Day 21: Arrival home. Today we arrive back home with beautiful memories, stories and pictures.

Required: walking shoes, warm clothing for cold nights, clothing for hot days, sun block, sun glasses, hat, swimsuit, sleeping bag, ISO
Mattress, day rug sack 35-45 liters.
