Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: The tour begins with a wonderful drive south of Quito through the avenue of the volcanoes towards Cotopaxi province. Sightseeing in the paramo (ecosystem of the Andes) is unique in the national park. We drive up to Tambopaxi (3.900m) where We get on our bikes and begin our mountain bike adventure. We will ride our bikes downhill by the foot of the Cotopaxi volcano on to a flat area near Limpiopungo lake. From the lake, we descend to the park museum, then continue until we get to a 400 year-old hacienda where we stay overnight.

Day 2: This morning we start with an early breakfast before heading off to witness an Andean speciality: a rodeo organized by the owners of a private Hacienda. We will see Chagras (cowboys of the Andes) perform amazing feats of horsemanship.

Day 3: Right after the rodeo, our Paso and English horses will be ready for us to ride through beautiful Andean landscapes of the Andes, passing through fields and villages where we will witness the activities of the local Indian people. After a 3 hour ride, we reach our next destination- lunch at "La Estacion" - which is a fine hotel and restaurant built in a very old style located in front of an old train station. After lunch we take our car and we go down to Baņos.

Day 4: At the base of the Tungurahua volcano, we are ready to leave the Andes and start our rafting adventure down to the Amazon rain forest along the Pastaza river. We are going to see beautiful landscapes, birds and big changes in the vegetation. Feel your adrenaline running in 3 and 4 class rapids. In the evening we stay in Puyo in a delightful hotel.

Day 5: The following morning we start with a tropical breakfast before going down through the jungle watching how fast the climate changes until we feel the humidity of the rainforest. After a 3 hour drive, we reach the Napo river where we begin a new adventure. We embark in kayaks and head downstream through tranquil waters, just enjoying the fantastic sightseeing of the jungle and its flora and fauna until we reach our eco-lodge. After lunch we visit an Indian community and we see the way Quichua people live and prepare their traditional friendship drink (chicha de yuca). You are invited to try the cerbatana (blowpipe) and see how good you might be at hunting in the jungle. After the visit, we walk back to the hotel.

Day 6: Today we walk into the Amazon rain forest to see primary tropical forests to discover the vegetation, including many medicinal plants, and learn more about the insects that we encounter in the jungle. After a 3 hour walk, we have our lunch and we go tubing or rafting in a very rustic balsa wood craft down the Napo river until we get back to the hotel.

Day 7: This morning we head back towards Quito. We take our canoes back up to La Punta to meet our driver who will convey us through the Andes, reaching a height of 3.100 m. We will enjoy a wonderful hot bath in the thermal spring waters of Papallacta, well known for their curative powers, after which we will descend by road back to Quito.
