Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, 25 January: Cape Town. Welcome drinks party at the hotel, lay out of the program, briefing about the tour and stunning welcome dinner in true South African style.
Day 2, 26 January: Cape Town. From Soil to Soul – MaAfrika Tikkun.

- Visit Delft Community on the Cape Flats
- Tour the Nelson Mandela Peace Park
- Teams are formed and participate in a variety of activities together with Community Centre volunteers:
Prepare a meal and then serve it to the community. Work in the Health Care program. Repair and renovation projects. Assist in the Food Garden. Enjoy entertainment by MaAfrika Tikkun Dance Group
Plant and dedicate a tree for eternity. This experience encapsulates what it is that drives young passionate people to take a year off their lives and volunteer in SA and is guaranteed to inspire and move you deeply.

MaAfrika Tikkun Project, an interactive experience. Learn about food gardens, the Health Care program and have lunch prepared by the Food Kitchen.
Day 3, 27 January: Cape Town. Aid in the fight against HIV-Aids – Mothers2mothers. In parts of Africa, up to 75% of the babies born stand to lose their mothers, who are HIV+, to AIDS-related illnesses. Without intervention, more than a quarter of these children will themselves inherit the virus. An entire generation is at stake. m2m is a social program complementing a medical program. The ability to support herself and her family empowers an HIV-positive woman – she has choices and becomes a resource and asset within her family and community.

- Meet the m2m Visionaries, learn how the project evolved, how it works and where it works and learn how it is growing
- Experience personal stories - How it felt to hear about HIV-positive status
- Who they told; What HIV meant to them; What it meant to realize assistance was at hand through m2m; How they encourage other women to live positively though what they have learnt
- Enjoy a Authentic South African Braai (= BBQ) Lunch
Understand why the m2m model has captured the attention of well-known figures such as fashion designer and AMFAR chair Kenneth Cole; rock star Bono and senior elected officials from across the political spectrum. Recent visitors to m2m include US First Lady Laura Bush, legendary singer/songwriter Sir Elton John and Christian Slater. In the afternoon / evening we will enjoy a dinner cruise and collaborate on the days experiences with Capetonian / South African / overseas social entrepreneurs.
Day 4, 28 January: Cape Town. Learn how holistic education pays it forward. Tertiary School in Business Administration offers emerging leaders an opportunity to study an enriched Bachelor of Business Administration degree that is focused on Entrepreneurship and Leadership. TSiBA avails a wide variety of experiential learning opportunities through coordinated internship, mentorship, leadership, entrepreneurship and career management programs that are core to their degree offering.

- Learn how TSiBA actively recruits and identifies untapped talent within communities that are economically impoverished. All students who pass our extensive application process are awarded a full tuition scholarship
- Meet the Directors and discuss the TSiBA Model and vision
- Interact in dialog with students
- Tour of Entrepreneurship Support Centre and ideas to collaborate on
- Hero speakers – representatives from our group discuss with students their Entrepreneurship success.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; enjoy a leisurely afternoon in one of the world’s most beautiful botanical gardens. Have some quiet time after the impressions you’ve walked away with the last few days.
Day 5, 29 January: Cape Town. Visit Table Mountain, Cape Town’s famous landmark not to be missed. We will go up in the Cable Car. In the afternoon we visit Robbin Island. Now a cultural and natural World Heritage site, Nelson Mandela spend 18 years in this maximum security prison before becoming South Africa’s first democratically elected President.
Day 6, 30 January: Cape Town. Visit the historical city center of Cape Town; learn about the history of the Dutch East Indies Company which was the first multi-national in the world. A visit to the Castle of Good Hope is included. The more recent history will tell us about Apartheid and the forced removals from the city center during the ’70 and ’80. Today Cape Town has a vibrant city center with stunning nightlife.
Day 7, 31 January: Cape Town. We will spend a whole day exploring the Cape Peninsula. We will visit Cape of Good Hope, the Cape of Good Hope National Park as well as a penguin colony. The Indian and Atlantic Ocean ‘touch’ at Cape Point. Climb up to this amazing look-out point at the most south western point of Africa!
Day 8, 1 February: Wine lands. We visit the historical village of Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is the 2nd oldest town of South Africa. We’ll taste some delicious wines and have a picnic lunch at the Boschendal Wine Estate.
Day 9, 2 February: Wine lands. Franschhoek is the culinary capital of South Africa and one of the favorite South African villages. We’ll taste some more wines as well as chocolate, olives and cheese. Chamonix, Monneaux, Grand Provence, La Motte are famous names that remind you of the French Huguenots who lived in this area.
Lunch will be at a wine estate with a spectacular view of the Franschhoek Mountains.
Days 10 - 12, 3 – 5 February : Private game reserve, Krugerpark. In the morning we will catch a domestic flight from Cape Town to the Kruger National Park. A visit to the Kruger National Park is an absolute must for guests of South Africa. We will stay in a luxurious safari lodge surrounded by wild life. Open jeep safari’s and game rangers will give you the ultimate bush experience. Share your stories around the fire in the evening while enjoying culinary delights and delicious wines. On the 5th of February we will catch a flight back to Cape Town from where everybody can get onto their international flights or continue enjoying South Africa a bit more on their own account.
