Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Overnight: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Our tour begins in Dubrovnik, the famed walled city on the Adriatic that was the region’s most powerful city-state. Walking tour of the old town followed by a group dinner at a konoba (tavern) far from the noisy cruise ship crowds.

Day 2: Overnight: Dubrovnik, Croatia
All day at your leisure to explore Dubrovnik’s galleries, museums and shops. Be sure to take in an unforgettable walk along its 25 meter high walls with great views on to old town & Adriatic Sea.

Day 3: Overnight: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Full day excursion to the lush Peljesac peninsula, filled with rustic villages & sleepy resorts and famous for its shellfish. We’ll enjoy wine tastings, lunch and some of Europe’s most ancient walled fortification at the town of Ston.

Day 4: Overnight: Komiza (Vis Island), Croatia
Ferry to the idyllic island of Vis, far from the tourist trail and a favorite of many locals Croatians. Tour of Vis Town’s Greek & Roman ruins followed by fresh seafood and a glass of Plavac wine at the enchanting seaside town of Komiza.

Day 5: Overnight: Komiza (Vis Island), Croatia
Morning boat ride out to Palagruza island for its historic lighthouse, secluded coves and lunch at a very scenic viewpoint. Afternoon to take in stone houses, old fashion falkusa fishing boats and wine bars at Komiza.

Day 6: Overnight: Komiza (Vis Island), Croatia
Morning visit to the "blue cave" at Bisevo (like a smaller version of Capri). All day at your leisure to find a sheltered cove or quiet beach, tuck into some grilled fish and bottle of local wine or sign up for para sailing or scuba diving.

Day 7: Overnight: Trogir, Croatia
Transfer to Trogir, a picturesque town is situated on the Adriatic, wedged between the between the coast and the island of Ciovo. Guided tour of its medieval core followed by afternoon at your leisure.

Day 8: Overnight: Trogir, Croatia
Morning at your leisure to enjoy Trogir. Afternoon guided tour of the historic port city of Split, founded by Roman emperor Diocletian in the 3rd century AD. Plenty of free time in the evening to have dinner, stroll the palm tree lined boardwalks and explore Diocletian’s palace - which is at its most charming when lit up at night.

Day 9: Overnight: Zagreb, Croatia
Flight to Croatia’s capital of Zagreb. A walking tour will introduce this Central European gem’s main sights and history. We’ll enjoy a hearty dinner at a traditional restaurant after our walk.

Day 10: Overnight: Zagreb, Croatia
At your leisure to explore Zagreb’s many museums and churches, stroll around the outdoor market, take the funicular to the Upper Town and go cafe and pub hopping in the Kaptol district.

Day 11: Overnight: Zagreb, Croatia
All-day excursion to Plitvice Lakes, perhaps the country’s most beautiful national park. Located in a valley between high forested mountains lies a string of sixteen crystal blue lakes, one below another. These lakes are fed by many small streams and brooks and spill over into each other in foaming cascades and thundering waterfalls.

Day 12: Overnight: Rovinj, Croatia
Morning at your leisure in Zagreb before flying to the Istrian peninsula. Afternoon walking tour of Pula and an exploration of its rich history, spanning over two millennia, including its showpiece, the 6th largest Roman Amphitheatre in the world. Other sites include a first century BC Temple of Augustus, the Gate of Hercules and a myriad of other ruins.

Day 13: Overnight: Rovinj, Croatia
Rovinj is Istria’s most enchanting seaside town and even rivals those on the Dalmatian coast for character and charm. We’ll take a walking tour through Rovinj. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy its many gems including art galleries, boardwalk cafes, outdoor market and a labyrinth of cobblestone streets. Enjoy sunset views atop St, Euphemia’s 60 meter tall campanile.

Day 14: Overnight: Rovinj, Croatia
We’ll discover Istria’s lovely interior filled with medieval hill towns, sleepy hamlets, olive groves and vineyards. Stops at many tiny hilltop villages to sample truffles, wines and fresh, local delicacies. Time to shop and explore the hill town of Groznjan, home to many artisans, painters and jewelers. Cap the day (and tour) in Porec to see its 6th century Euphrasian Basilica, lined with beautiful golden mosaics.
