Tour Itinerary: FRIDAY: ATHENS Upon your arrival in Athens you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel in Athens. Balance of the day at leisure. SATURDAY: ATHENS Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including all famous monuments: House of Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Adrian’s Arch, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Tour will end by visiting the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum, “State of the art” in museum construction and very rich in content. Afternoon free to visit the old Athens city (Plaka) with lots of restaurants, taverns and souvenir shops SUNDAY: ATHENS - CAIRO At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrival meeting, assistance & transfer to your selected hotel in Cairo. Balance of the day at leisure. MONDAY: CAIRO - LUXOR Early morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Luxor. Arrival, transfer to the pier & embarkation. After lunch, visit the East Bank oh the Nile, starting with Karnak temple built in 2000 B.C. for Amoun Ra, which is the biggest temple in Egypt as it contains 22 temples. Proceed to Luxor temple,which was built in the modern dynasty about 1450 B.C. by Aminophis and Ramses II. TUESDAY: LUXOR - EDFU Cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings where all Tombs of the modern dynasty of the Kings (1550-830 B.C.) are located, including the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amoun, and one of the Sarcophagus discovered by English Egyptologist Howard Carter. A visit to the funeral of Queen Hatchepsut which was carved in the mountain about 1450 B.C. and was built in a different style than the other temples. The tour will end with a visit to Colossi of Memnoon, the two statues of King Amenophis. Sail to Edfu, overnight on board. WEDNESDAY: EDFU - KOM OMBO - ASWAN Visit the Temple of God Horous, which was built during 237-57 B.C. it is considered the perfect temple of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Sail to Kom Ombo, visit the Temple of God Sobek and God Horaris. Sail to Aswan, overnight on board. THURSDAY: ASWAN A panoramic visit by felucca around the Botanical, Elephantine Island and the Mausoleum of Agha Khan. FRIDAY: ASWAN - CAIRO Disembarkation after breakfast. Starting our visit by the High Dam and Aswan Dam, the unfinished Obelisque and Temple of Philae, you will have the opportunity of an optional excursion by plane to visit Abu Simbel temples, transfer to the airport for flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. SATURDAY: CAIRO Full day Cairo sightseeing, starts with Giza where the three Pyramids of Keops, Kephren and Mikyreenos are located. Visit to the Sphinx and Valley of the Temple, lunch and continuation of the tour with the Egyptian Museum, where we can see the treasure of Tut Ankh Amoun and other Old Egyptian treasures. Proceed to old Cairo where we visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali and the Citadel of Salah El Din. SUNDAY: CAIRO - ATHENS At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Athens. Arrival and transfer to your selected hotel in Athens. Balance of the day at leisure. MONDAY: ATHENS - MYKONOS Morning transfer to Piraeus port to embark the 4-day cruise. Our cruise ship will leave the port of Piraeus at 11:00 for a 4 full days of fun and experiences. We go along the Athens Riviera in the Saronic Golf to the south end of Attica passing close to the Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. This afternoon is a good opportunity to get around and know your ship and the services we provide. In the afternoon we arrive in Mykonos, the island of the international "jet set", famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and incredible night life. Take a taste of the island and check if you maybe like to return in the future to spend more time. In the evening return to the ship for overnight travel to our next destination TUESDAY: KUSADASI - PATMOS First port of call is the port of Kusadasi with the option to visit Ephesus, one of the most complete ancient cities ever excavated. Then on to the island of Patmos, where you can visit the Monastery and the Grotto of St. John, where he lived and recorded the Book of Revelation. WEDNESDAY: RHODES Today we visit the magnificent island of the roses, Knights and Butterflies. Participating in one of the optional tours, you can visit the old medieval city and the famous Acropolis of Lindos. If you want to be on your own you can swim in one of the many beaches of the island or just stroll in the old city and imagine being one of its inhabitants of the ancient times, Late evening return in the ship.. Participating in one of the optional tours, you can visit the famous Acropolis of Lindos. THURSDAY: HERAKLION (CRETE) - SANTORINI New port, new places, new interesting sites in Crete. We will wake up in Heraklion, the biggest city of Crete, the island full of archaeological sites, beautiful beaches and fantastic scenery. Take the opportunity to participate in the optional tour to the Palace of Knossos, the centre of the Minoan Civilization. We continue and this afternoon we visit the most breathtaking island, Santorini, believed to be the lost continent of Atlantis. You can participate in the optional tours or just relax in one of the famous cafes of the town and admire the sunset on the Caldera, known to be the most famous.
