The French Catalan Pyrenees covers a range from the area around Prades up to Andorra and ranges from 300 meters to 3000 meters above sea level. It offers an enormous diversity of trails, landscapes as well as flora and fauna. This area of France is also blessed with over 300 sunny days a year, making it very enjoyable walking country.

- Le Petit Jaune - The little Yellow Train that runs a spectacular route along the mountain ranges.

* Accommodation:
Staying at the charming 'Les Ramiers' Gite guesthouse on a self-catering basis. Les Ramiers is a beautiful traditional mountain lodge, converted into self-catering accommodation. It is perfectly located for all of the trails which can be accessed right from the front door. Additionally, it is only a couple of kilometers to the town of Font Romeu for shopping, restaurants, cafe's etc.
Another option is to stay at the centrally located and recently renovated 'Hotel de la Poste' in Font Romeu. The accommodation is on a Bed and Breakfast basis and the hotel is located in the heart of the town making trips out for shopping, restaurants and cafe's a breeze. The walking trails can easily be accessed within a few minutes from the front door of the hotel.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Girona. Transfer to our accommodation in the village of Font Romeu in the French Pyrenees.
Day 2: Walking - The pine forests and River Tet walk in the 'Pla de Barres'.
Day 3: Walking - Bolquere and visiting one of France's highest citadels 'Mont Louis'.
Day 4: Walking - The Nordic ski area of La Calme.
Day 5: Walking - La Calme and the stunning mountain scenery of Lake Bouillouses.
Day 6: Walking - La Calme and amazing views over the Cerdagne plane from the 'Pic des Mauroux'.
Day 7: Departure to Girona.
