DAY 1 Otopeni International Airport-Bucharest
Arrival in Bucharest and transfer to the hotel. We make our first Bucharest Tour and visit the Manuc’s Inn, the Old Court and St. Anton Church. In the Old Town waits the beautiful Stavropoleos Church (1724) for our visit.
Dinner and overnight at Bucharest in a hotel***.
DAY 2 Bucharest-Sinaia-Brasov-Sighisoara
Breakfast. Again we visit some of the most interesting places of Bucharest, starting with The Palace of Parliament, the biggest administrative construction in Europe. Then we go to Sinaia, the “Pearl” of the Carpathians. There we visit the Royal Peles Castle. After lunch our next target are the medieval towns Brasov and Rupea. Finally we arrive in Sighisoara, the place where Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) was born. Dinner and overnight in a hotel*** in Sighisoara.
DAY 3 Sighisoara-Sovata-Gheorghieni-Lacul Rosu-Bicaz-Targu Neamt
Breakfast. We visit Sighisoara: the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill (1345) and not to forget the Covered Stairway. Then we leave for Sovata, well known for his spa. We lunch at Gheorghieni and after that we visit “Lacul Rosu“(The Red Lake). The dam on Bistrita River (1960) holds the largest reservoir in Romania (over 1 million m³). Dinner and overnight at in Targu Neamt in a hotel***.
DAY 4 Targu Neamt-Gura Humorului
After the breakfast we visit Targu Neamt, a small town on the banks of Neamt River. The castle (14th C) you can see there was very important in the defending system of Moldavia. Then we visit The Neamt Monastery (13th C). After our lunch in Gura Humorului we see the Voronet Monastery (1448), also named “The Sistine Chapel with the face to the people”. Humor Monastery was built in 1530. Dinner and overnight in a hotel**** in Gura Humorului.
DAY 5 Gura Humorului-Suceava-Radauti-Marginea village-Gura Humorului
Breakfast. We go direction Suceava and Radauti Country. In Suceava we visit the castle (15th C), with defending towers in corners. Dragomirna: the small church was built in 1602. The large church was built in 1609 and impress with its elegance. Putna is the main monastery built by Stefan the Great. We lunch at Radauti. Marginea is one of the main center for polished pottery (black and red) in Moldavia. Dinner and overnight in a hotel**** in Gura Humorului.
DAY 6 Gura Homorului-Moldovita-Sucevita-Marginea-Arbore
Breakfast. Campulung Moldovenesc country Area is an ethnographic region rich in traditions. Moldovita Monastery was built in 1410. In 1975 the painted monasteries in Moldavia where awarded with POMME D’OR by the tourist journalists in the world. Sucevita Monastery (1606) was considerate as “The testament of the old Moldavian art”. We lunch at Sucevita and our next target is Marginea and the Arbore Monastery (1503), an UNESCO monument. Dinner and overnight in a hotel**** in Gura Humorului.
DAY 7 Gura Humorului-Campulung Moldovenesc-Vatra Dornei-Borsec -Miercurea Ciuc-Baile Homorod.
Breakfast. We leave for Campulung Moldovenesc and the famous spa and ski-resort Vatra Dornei. Via Dornelor country we arrive at Poiana Teiului. Lunch in Borsec, a well known spa famous for its mineral waters. Miercurea Ciuc is the capital City of Harghita County. Here we find the oldest traces of inhabitation date since the Bronze Age. Homorod spa is a season local spa at the foothills of Harghita Mountains. Dinner and overnight at a lovely guest house in Baile Homorod.
DAY 8 Baile Homorod-Tusnad-Brasov-Sinaia
Breakfast. Tusnad spa is the smallest town in Romania -1800 inhabitants. Barsa Country Brasov geological depression is the largest in Carpathians and host Tara Barsei ethnographic area. Brasov is the 4th biggest city of Romania The most important tourist attractions are: The Black church (14th C), Council square, Rope Street (the narrowest in Romania). Lunch in Brasov. After Predeal and Busteni we arrive at the Sinaia Monastery. Dinner and overnight in a hotel*** in Sinaia.
DAY 9 Sinaia-Bucharest
Breakfast. Campina is a small city situated on the left side of Prahova River. Muzeul Satului (The Village Museum), lying in a wonderful Romanian setting, on the Herăstrău lake shore in Bucharest, is one of the biggest and the oldest outdoor museum in Europe. Its exhibits genuine monuments including houses, pens, churches, water and wind mills, cloth mills, of great historic and artistic value. Lunch in Bucharest. The National Palace of Bucharest - today host of the National Art Museum with famous Romanian Paintings and Sculptures. Afternoon free time for shopping. Dinner and overnight in Bucharest in a hotel***.
DAY 10 Bucharest International Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to Bucharest International Airport.
