This safari in True Safari Country leaves in the early morning from your hotel, and takes you 100 km up the main Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Bachuma Gate, the entrance to Tsavo east National Park where the infamous lions, the "Man-eaters of Tsavo" terrorized railway workers and halted the construction of the Mombasa-Uganda Railway, better known as the Lunatic Express. The Park covers an area of about 11,000 sq. km, where there are herds of elephants, buffalo and zebra, living alongside giraffe, ostrich, gazelle and many antelope. The safari visits Aruba Dam, a favorite wildlife watering hole, arriving at Voi Safari Lodge in time for a hearty lunch. While viewing the game from the lodge terrace viewpoint. Good to have a Binocular with you. In the afternoon we take you on another game drive before returning to your coast hotel in the early evening.
While on our tours, you can arrange with your driver guide to take you for a visit to the local villages to learn more of their culture and lifestyle in general; all this at and extra charge.
We operate daily regular safari departures, from a minimum of 2 pax to a maximum of 6, 7 or 8 pax in our nine-seater safari vehicles. These safaris are ideal for those who want a first hand experience of life in the bush. You will be accompanied by a driver guide. The safaris are designed for those in search of real adventure, who enjoy the unpredictable Wilderness. Normally those who join are from all walks of life and nationalities, usually between 16 and 60 years.
