Accommodation is set in some of the best lodges Namibia has to offer. We use guest houses or smaller hotels in Towns to avoid the ‘hotel’ feel. This tour is build to be one of your life’s special experiences.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Overnight in Windhoek (Namibia’s capital city).
We will meet for drinks at sundown for a short tour briefing. Dinner at your guest house. Overnight at one of Windhoek’s best guesthouses.
Day 2: Overnight Onguma (Etosha National Park). Breakfast at your guesthouse. We meet right after breakfast. After shopping we depart for Etosha. Lunch is done at a restaurant on the road to Etosha. This day is a very long day’s drive, but there are usually some birding opportunities where raptors or other Namibian birds are found on the telephone and fence poles along the way. We arrive late afternoon at Onguma. There is a chance to look around the camp, familiarizing ourselves with the vegetation and some of the birds.
Day 3: Overnight Onguma (Etosha National Park). Today we wake up early for sun-up and head out for an adventurous day in the park. Experience some of the best of the eastern part of the park. Breakfast and Lunch are flexible on this day, in order to take maximum advantage of game viewing opportunities. Dinner and overnight at Onguma.
Day 4: Overnight Okaukuejo. After sun-up we depart Onguma and head towards Okaukuejo. We drive through Etosha, doing effectively a 160 kilometre game drive. We may do an afternoon drive in this region of the park. Dinner at Okaukuejo. After dinner we spend time at the world famous Okaukuejo waterhole, where there is a chance to see both Lions and Black Rhinos.
Day 5: Overnight Mowani Mountain Camp. Breakfast at Okaukuejo. We do a final Etosha Game Drive this morning. After a final stop at Okaukuejo we leave Etosha and work our way towards Mowani. Lunch will be a packed lunch on the road. Afternoon excursion at Mowani. Dinner at Mowani. Overnight at Mowani.
Day 6: Overnight Mowani Mountain Camp. Breakfast at Mowani. Visit the famous rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. Lunch at Mowani. Afternoon Excursion exploring the area. We have the possibility of finding desert elephants in this area. Overnight at Mowani.
Day 7: Overnight at Beach Lodge (Swakopmund). Breakfast at Mowani. Leave early for Swakopmund. On the way we visit Cape Cross Fur Seal Colony. Late afternoon there is a chance to relax or explore Swakopmund. Dinner at a restaurant in Swakopmund.
Day 8: Overnight Beach Lodge (Swakopmund). Day excursions are taken into the desert and to birding areas. Breakfast at Beach Lodge. Lunch will remain flexible depending on the day’s activities. Dinner at Beach Lodge.
Day 9: Overnight Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge (NamibRand Nature Reserve, Sossusvlei region). Breakfast at Beach Lodge. Depart for the Sossusvlei area. Lunch at Rostock Ritz. Afternoon excursion at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Dinner at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Overnight Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge.
Day 10: Overnight Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Early morning coffee/tea. Depart before sunrise for Sossusvlei. Picnic Breakfast. Lunch at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Afternoon activities at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge.
Day 11: Overnight Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Today we spend the whole day exploring NamibRand Nature Reserve. All meals at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Overnight Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge.
Day 12: Return to Windhoek. Breakfast at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge. Depart for Windhoek. Lunch in Windhoek. Tour ends when we drop you off at your guest house.
