Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane: Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by local guide, transfer to hotel for check in, then we take sight seeing tour in Vientiane Capital to discover the oldest Wat Sisaket Temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Visit the famous and sacred structure of That Luang stupa , a symbol of Lao nation as a center spirit of Lao People as well, on the way back stop at Phatou Xay (monument) as a symbol of Vientiane Capital as well. Accommodation at: Chantha Panya Hotel.
Day 2: Visit Cope and Local People. Visit Cope, an NGO which is working to help rehabilitate people injured by the legacy of the "secret war and see the film of Indochinese war period 1960 - 1973 at its Visitor Center. Have lunch at the training restaurant of a humanitarian project which works with children living on the streets, to understand about the issues facing the poorest people in the city and appreciate what is being done to help them. After lunch, we drive to Ban Hom Village,18 km far away from Vientiane, together with villagers to try in vegetables planting or cloth weaving by traditional loom. You will enjoy dinner, welcome party by local Baci Ceremony and home stay here. Includes: (B), (D).
Day 3: Ban Hom Village - Vang Vieng, by Van. This Morning you will drive to Vang Vieng, famed for its intricate network of limestone caves. There will be several stops on the way to see some Buddhas carved out of rocks in the forest, and one of the minority villages. We will spend some time exploring the caves before continuing to our peaceful guest house on the outskirts of town, away from the tourist hoards. Accommodation at: Elephant crossing Hotel. Day 4: Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang, by Van. After breakfast, continue our journey forwards to Luang Prabang, cultural heritage city by north road No.13. We take about 6 or 7 hours to get there. You will enjoy driving through the high mountains with the beauty of scenery, stop to visit hill tribe villages and lunch on the way. Arrive in Luang Prabang late after noon. Accommodation at: Phousi Hotel. Includes: (B).
Day 5: Pak Ou cave by boat. Visit Wat Xieng thong, the most beautiful temple was built in 1560, the only one that was not destroyed by the war. After that we take by traditional boat up stream on Mekong River, which also gives you a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting discover the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at Ban Xanghai Village, where they make the distillation of local rice wine ( made of sticky rice). Return back to Luang prabang, visit Wat Visoun the originally was built in 1513 by King Visounarath made of wood. It was destroyed by Chinese black Hor in 1887, and latter rebuilt but still keeps the same style. Now has become the museum of the temple. Clime up Phousi hill for over looking the view of Luang Prabang, it takes 328 steps to the top of Phousi. See sunset here. Back down for shopping at night market. Includes: (B).
Day 6: Long Lao Hill tribe Villages - Kouang si waterfall, by Van. We drive around 25 km to visit some hill tribes villages: Ban Long Lao – Khmu and Hmong people to see the authentic of minorities. Continue our driving to Kouangsi Waterfall, the beautiful spot for picnics, swimming and relaxing. On the way back to Luang Prabang, we visit textile village of Ban Xang Khong and at leisure on your own. Includes: (B), (L).
Day 7: Luang Prabang - Departure. You may get up early morning around 6:00 AM to offer the food for Buddhist Monks, over 300 Monks walking on street side for collecting food, then do not miss to see local market. After breakfast, visit National museum (Former Royal Palace) which was collected the antiques kept inside included sacred Prabang Buddha statues. Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Includes: (B).
