Tour itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival.
Arrive in Yerevan at Zvartnots Airport. Passport control, issuing of visas. Accommodation in the hotel.
Day 2: Yerevan sightseeing tour – Garni - Geghard - Yerevan.
- Your tour of the capital city of the Republic of Armenia will include visits to:
- Matenadaran. The Research Institute of Armenia which houses beautiful illuminated manuscripts created by scribes centuries ago.
- Tsitsernakaberd Monument and Museum. Built in 1965, this monument commemorates the 1915 Genocide of Armenians.
- Erebuny - fortress and museum (782 BC).
- The Central Market or "Shuga". Take a walk through the huge central market in Yerevan.
- Garni. The pagan temple is one an outstanding monument of the Hellenistic culture in Armenia. The temple was built in the second half of the 1st century BC. In 1679 it was destroyed by the earthquake. In 1975 the temple was restored.
- Geghard. The name came from the legendary lance, supposedly the one used to pierce the body of Christ, which was long kept here. The time of foundation of the monastery is not established. The present architectural complex was constructed in the middle of 13th century. The main church- Katoghike is one of the oldest buildings in the complex. (H.B.)

Day 3: Khor-Virap-Areni-Noravank-Yerevan.
- Khor-Virab. The site where St.Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned by Armenian king for preaching Christianity. You can climb down into the dark pit on foot and upon climbing, back up treat yourself. The most spectacular view of the glorious Mt.Ararat. - Lunch-picnic.
- Noravank. It is 13th century structure with its beautiful stone crosses while enjoying one of the most breathtaking views throughout Armenia and sample some fine local Armenian wine at the neighboring Areni Winery and taste the bounty of Armenian’s sun kissed grapes. Return to Yerevan. (H.B.)

Day 4: Tsaghkadzor-Noraduz – Sevan.
- Tsakhkadzor. Most of the preserved forests lie along the valley of Marmarik river, on eastern and southern spurs of Tsakhkunyats Mountains. The healthy climate of woody mountain slopes was probably the reason that ancient people have chosen this place to settle - remains of their settlements is an evident proof of it. In a scenic woody district, on the left bank of the Marmarik river, the town of Tsakhkadzor ("Gorge of flowers") is situated - one of the favorite places of Armenians for spending summer vacations. In winter Tsakhkadzor attracts ski sportsmen. Numerous boarding and rest houses, complexes for summer and winter sports make Tsakhkadzor a very attractive place both for the native people and guests.
- Noraduz Church St Karapet and St. Arakelots monasteries.
– No trip to Armenia is ever complete without a visit to the lake Sevan, one of the largest and highest lakes in Eurasia at about
1,900 meters above sea level. At lake Sevan you will visit these monasteries, then take a serene stroll on the beach and you have a boat ride and cocktail time in a boat, in season. By then, you will have worked an appetite and will be ready to taste the most delicious trout, fresh from the lake.

Day 5: Sevan-Dilijan-Alaverdi.
- Dilijan Region is one of the main resorts in Armenia, which is surrounded by very old in history natural woods. Many wild ancestors of berries and fruit trees are found here. Visit the complex historical monument“Haghartsin II-XII”.
- Alaverdi is famous since the governmental period of the king Artashes the First (189-160 b.c.). In Alaverdi and vicinity are replaced monasteries and temple complexes with amazing and perfect architecture.
- Odzun (temple 6th c.). Older historic sites abound, including the incomparable Haghpat (Unesco site) and Sanahin monasteries. Great hiking and a gentle climate offer a wide range of possibilities to enjoy this pristine woodland-mountain environment. Ll.
- Overnight in the hotel Dzoraget in Alaverdi. (H.B.)

Day 6: Alaverdi- Gyumri-Yerevan
- Gyumri. This is the second largest city of Armenia. Gyumri is situated on the bank of the Akhurian River in the Shirak region and was the site of the most devastating earthquake in Armenia in the 20th century.
- While touring Gyumri you will visit its national museum, located in a typical Armenian house and enjoy the former home of the wealthy Zitoghtiants family, who were famous for their baths and beer brewery. Lunch. Aruch Cathedral, Talin and Mastara church. Return to Ervin. Accommodation in the hotel in Yerevan. (H.B.)

Day 7: Yerevan-Ejmiatsin-Sardarapad-Ashtarak
- Echmiadzin Monastery. Visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the most ancient Christian temple in Armenia and the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church. You will visit the underground site of the pagan temple upon which the present cathedral stands. You will also visit the Museum. Churches St. Gayane and St. Hripsime.
- Sardarapat. Ethnographic museum in Sardarapat.
Tomb of St. Mesrob Mashtots
- Oshakan was the home village of St. Mesrop Mashtots, the 4th century monk who invented Armenian Alphabet.
- Tour to the small 7th century Karmravor (red) church in Ashtarak. The last one is a monastery of flowers –located near the Mountain of Aray next to the river of Kasakh. Hovhanavank and Saghmosavank. (H.B.)

Day 8: Departure.
