Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Start of the Inca Trail. Early morning we will pick you from your hotel and transfer to kilometer 82. Here and after a good breakfast we will begin our journey, passing trough the first archeological site of the trail (Patallacta), along the way we will observe pleanty of flora , fauna and indigenous towns, the ones keep their old traditions. After lunch we will continue ascending to a semi-tropical valley. Campsite: Huayllabamba (3000. meters). Approx 14km walking - 6 hours.
Day 2: Huayllabamaba - Pacaymayo. This is the most challenge day, we start early after breakfast and hike up to the highest point Warmihuanusca 4200m / 13780 ft. Walk at your own pase and take your time. You can also hire a porter to carry your backpack for 20 bucks extra. At the top of the mountain we will observe the beauty of the deep valleys, Afther a worthy rest weŽll descend toward our second campsite Pacaymayu 3500 m / 11700 ft. Approx 12km walking - 7 hours
Day 3: Pacaymayo - Huinayhuaina. Today is a lot more down than up. From Pacaymayo the trail climbs steeply up to the opposite side of the valley, towards the second highest point 3900 m/ 13000 ft. Along the way we will see more Inkan ruins. a big part of this day is going down by thousands of Inkan stairs. Campsite Winayhuayna 2700m / 11900 ft. (This campsite is the only one with a hostel in the one you can take the first shower after 3 days of hard walking for only 5 soles. there is also a bar anda restaurant ) Approx 16km walking - 6 hours.
Day 4: Arrival to Machu Picchu. Very early mnorning wake up. Today we will walk up by many Inkan stairs to arrive at the gate of the Sun (Intipunku) Where we will have our first view of the Amazing citadel of Machu Picchu, After few photos we will descent to Machu Picchu itself, Guided tour of the citadel and time at leisure. Optional by your own climb Waynapicchu Mountain. At 1:30 Pm we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then take our train back to Cusco City.
