Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara. You will depart Nairobi to Maasai Mara passing through the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha the highest in altitude of the Rift Valley lakes sparkles at a distance. Descend the escarpment to Masai Mara to be in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. After lunch relax and have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge in Masai Mara. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 2: Masai Mara. Full day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. An optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge in Masai Mara. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru. After breakfast depart Maasai Mara to arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch. Seasonally up to a million flamingos reside along the lake shore giving the lake a pink hueu. Lake Nakuru National Park has a fantastic array of bird life and is also a sanctuary for both the black and the white rhino. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Lion Hill Lodge in Nakuru. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Mountain Lodge. After breakfast, depart for Mountain Lodge. Arrive at the lodge by lunchtime.This is a tree lodge surrounded by forest and overlooking an illuminated waterhole and salt lick. A spacious veranda also overlooks the waterhole for game viewing there is never a dull moment. Dinner and overnight at the tree hotel. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 5: Mt. Lodge – Samburu Game Reserve. Depart after breakfast and drive further north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. The park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, endemic species only found here, reticulated giraffe, the Gravy's zebra gerenuk, beisa Oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Dinner and overnight at a Samburu Serena Lodge. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 6: Samburu. Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Optional activities include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at a Samburu Serena Lodge. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 7: Samburu-Nairobi. Depart for Nairobi. Arrive in time for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure. Brief sightseeing or shopping trips can be arranged. Overnight at Pan Afric hotel in Nairobi.
Day 8: Nairobi-Mombasa.
After breakfast. catch a short flight to Mombasa
Day 9: Full day at Whitesands Beach Hotel. Enjoy the excellent cuisine at this club, which is designed in Swahili style.
Day 10: Full day at leisure, full board overnight at at Whitesands. Beach Hotel.
Day 11: Board your 45 minute flight back to Nairobi.
