The world renowned Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve is one of the most spectacular and wild places to visit. From mighty herds of Elephant, numbering in their 100’s to Lions on the prowl, this is a wildlife haven that everyone needs to visit at least once in a life time. The days are spend doing 4x4 Game Drives, Bush Walks. Most of the game driving will be done in a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve and in the Kwai River area which is renowned for its excellent game viewing. You will also have the option of visiting the Okavango Delta region in Moremi.
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is situated in the middle of Botswana and is one of the biggest game reserves on the African continent. This is the home to many predators and chances are high to spot some of the big cats. Bird watching fans will also be in their element as this is the home of many species of Bird of Prey. The region is relatively new on the safari circuits and not many visitors venture this way. The days are spent doing 4x4 game drives in a private concession bordering the Central Kalahari Game Reserve renowned for its Big Cat experiences, bird watching and a unique San (Bushman) Cultural experience.
The Makgadikgadi Pans, vast cannot describe it; these ancient lakes are now one of the new highlights to visit in Botswana. These salt pans stretch as far as the eye can see and are bordered with grasslands hosting herds of wildlife. The Pans, especially Soa Pans, serves as breeding grounds to millions of flamingo’s each year and you may have a chance to experience this spectacle (Seasonal and Weather Permitting). The Safari Camp is approximately 10 km from Kubu Island where you will visit the Historical Ruins which is now declared as a world heritage site.
The Chobe Game Reserve, home to some of the largest herds of Elephant on the planet. Chobe Game Reserve is any nature lovers dream, wildlife, birdlife and nature. One of the highlights in Chobe is the river or boat based game viewing where you get the chance to get up close to the wildlife. Chobe offers some spectacular photo options and game viewing second to none.
Day 1: Moremi – The start of a Safari Adventure. Your Guide will meet you at the Maun Airport from where you will depart for your Safari. Before departing from Maun, the Safari capital of Botswana, you will have a last chance to do some shopping and sending e-mails. The drive is approximately two hours to the lodge and the first day will be spend relaxing at the Safari lodge. You will experience the first true sense of wilderness at night with all the night sounds and endless skies. Includes: (D).
Day 2: Moremi – Kwai River Region. The day will start early and after breakfast and packing the car with lunch and all you camera equipment you will be of for a full day of game viewing and excitement. This is big game country and you may encounter elephant, lion and leopard amongst many other species of wildlife. Lunch will be a picnic under one of the age old trees of the region. By late afternoon and hopefully cameras filled with many great wilderness shots we will head back to the lodge for and relaxing evening under the stars of Africa. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Moremi - Wilderness Experience of a different kind. Today will be a different sort of wilderness experience. After breakfast we will head out on foot to explore the surrounding areas of the lodge and spot many of the not so well known aspects of the Moremi wilderness region. Lunch will be at the lodge and after lunch we will depart for another short game drive. This evening we will go on a night game drive for a chance to spot some of the very elusive nocturnal animals. Accommodation is in a luxury Permanent Tented Camp on a private concession in the Moremi Game Reserve Region. Accommodation Grading: 3 Star Plus. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Deception Valley and the Central Kalahari. We will depart soon after breakfast for our next destination; the Central Kalahari. On the way we will stop over in Maun for a bit of shopping and a chance to catch up with your friends on the internet. The drive is quite long and we will arrive at Haina Safari Lodge by late afternoon where we will be welcomed by a nice cold refreshment and very friendly staff. This is Lion country and we will perhaps have a chance to meet one of these predators on the way. For those feeling up to it we will go on a late afternoon game drive after dinner. Lunch will be picnic style along the route. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Deception Valley a San (Bushman) Encounter. This morning we will again go out on a early morning Game drive and brunch afterwards. The afternoon you will have some time to relax and experience SAN (Bushman) culture, the highlight of the day. The afternoon will be spent under the clear skies of the Kalahari and for the adventurous we will be doing a night game drive. Accommodation is in a luxury Permanent Tented Camps in a private concession bordering the Central Kalahari National Park. Accommodation Grading: 4 Star Plus. On the way to Deception Valley you will have a last chance to do some shopping and e-mailing for the next 5 days. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: The Makgadikgadi Pans. The Makgadikgadi Region is vast and driving to our Safari camp is quite far. We will depart after breakfast and make our way to this magnificent and beautiful place. Along the way we will stop for a picnic lunch and some photo shoots if we see something nice. The road can be very difficult to navigate during the wet season so we will make our way to camp as quickly as possible. The accommodation is completely different from what you would have experienced so far and we will sleep over in a Safari camp with dome tents and a communal ablution facility. You will be amazed by the pen space in this region and we will have sundowners on the edge of the open expanses of Sowa Pans. Night time is truly an amazing experience and if the skies are clear this is one of the best places to visit for any stargazer enthusiast. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: The Makgadikgadi - Explore Kubu Island. After breakfast we will do some exploring and take a drive to the historical site of Kubu Island. This area was recently declared a world heritage site and you can view the ruins of a age old trading post. There are also many photo opportunities at Kubu Island and of the many stunted Baobab trees of the site. Along the way we will have a chance to visit one of the cattle post of the region and to interact and have a drink with some of the locals. Lunch will be picnic style again before we visit the pans and explore the local nature on foot. Your guide will prepare BBQ again this evening as you gaze at the vastness of the skies and the pans. Accommodation will vary from season to season and are in serviced fly camping on the Makgadikgadi Pans or near the edge of the pan. During the wet season driving on the Pans can be dangerous. Accommodation Grading: 2 Star Serviced Camping. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Chobe, Home of the Elephant. Today will be a long drive again as we depart for Chobe soon after breakfast. Along the way we will stop over at the crop fields of Pandamatenga fo a picnic lunch before we head on to Chobe. On arrival we will check in and freshen up before you will have a chance to head into the village of Kasane for some shopping and the internet. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Chobe by Boat and 4x4. Today will be game viewing again, but with a twist. After breakfast we will head for the waters of the mighty Chobe River and will spend the morning doing game viewing by boat. This is an experience of a lifetime as with the boat we will get a chance to get up as close as possible to some of the game of the region. After all this excitement you will need a rest to take it all in and we will head back to camp for lunch before we depart on another 4x4 game drive in the Chobe Reserve. The Chobe reserve is home to more than 70 000 African Elephant and we may encounter one of the big herds ranging in numbers o more than 100 per herd; truly a magnificent site. This is our last evening together so this evening we will have a opportunity for a farewell dinner and a last chance to exchange addresses and pictures. Accommodation is in a Cumfortable Permanent Tented Camp on a private concession bordering the Chobe Forest Reserve. Accommodation Grading: 2 Star Plus. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: The Departure. Always a sad day, but also a good day, because you may be heading back to family and friends to tell them of your great experience of Botswana and Africa. Includes: (B).

- In the case of a vehicle breakdown the vehicle will be replaced by a similar vehicle and as quickly as possible. This may cause slight adjustments in the program and may cause the days of stay over per lodge. The days on Safari will always stay the same and all the destinations will still be visited.
