Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Goht village, the starting point of the trip. It is situated on the edge of the Azat River canyon. The place has been inhabited since the VI millennium B.C. On the other side of the canyon there is a plato, which is a good place for pastures. You will see settlements of Kurds-Yezidis here. Starting from May and till October Kurds-Yezidis are wandering with their herds going upper and upper. You will wade the Goht River and visit the ruins of the Kakavaberd fortress, the medieval residence of Armenian kings. Spending the night in tent.
Day 2: Gilan-Lar village. Church complex Akhchets vank (Stepanos). Bayburd village and Astvatsatsin church. Spending the night in tent.
Day 3: Azat River. Stone symphony in Garni. The Garni fortress was the residence of Armenian kings from Yervandids', Artashesids' and Arshakids' dynasties starting from the III cent. B.C. till the IV cent. A.D. Departure.
