The Mekong Delta, or the 'Nine Dragon River Delta', is the vast region in Southeast Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea. Encompassing almost 40,000 square kilometers of Southeastern Vietnam, the Mekong Delta region is abundant with water, fruit orchards, and most importantly, rice fields. It produces about half of Vietnam's agricultural output and is the best place to experience the timeless scenery of farmers planting and harvesting rice.
Take this 2 days/1 night laid back cultural tour cruising the Bassac, the converted traditional wooden rice barge, along the Mekong Delta from Cai Be to Can Tho. The cruise can also be operated in reverse. Leisurely explore the Mekong Delta in the boat's well-equipped cabins, completed with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and attentive staff provide you with all the necessary comforts.
