Day 1: Buenos Aires: Arrival
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires we transfer you to a centrally-located hotel.
Day 2: Buenos Aires: City Tour
After breakfast, we depart on our Buenos Aires city tour, visiting sites around the city such as La Boca, Recoleta Cemetery, best-known for holding Eva Peron’s grave, the Plaza de Mayo, where the Casa Rosada Presidential Palace is located; and Puerto Madero.
Day 3: Buenos Aires: Free Day
A chance to explore the wonderful city of Buenos Aires. Or you may wish to go further afield, and visit the Uruguayan town of Colonia, a ferry ride away across the River Plate.
This evening you will be transported back in time thanks to the La Ventana tango show. Enjoy the dancers, orchestras and local singers, while dining from the impressive menu that offers both local and international cuisine as well as an extensive list of Argentinean wines. At the conclusion of the show a bus will transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 4: Arrival transfer in El Calafate
Transfer to the domestic airport for your journey from Buenos Aires. Arrival into El Calafate airport and private transfer to your hotel.
Day 5: Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier
After breakfast, the bus heads to Perito Moreno where, after a short walk, we obtain our first glimpse of the glacier. Standing at over 100m high, it is one of the few glaciers in the world still advancing, and we will have a chance to watch it ‘calving’. After this exhilarating experience, we return to El Calafate, where we overnight.
Day 6: El Calafate, Upsala & Onelli Navigation
Beginning at Punta Bandera pier, sail the northern arm of the Argentinean Lake towards the Upsala Glacier. This is one of the biggest glaciers of the Patagonian ice cap with walls reaching more than 20 metres high. Cruise along its 6km front wall and then head towards the Onelli Bay to disembark and walk for around 800 metres through a typical Andean-Patagonian forest. Back on the boat, the trip continues through Onelli Bay to Spegazzini Glacier, the highest glacier in the park before returning to Punta Bandera pier and then back to El Calafate by bus.
Day 7: Calafate – Bariloche
At the appropriate time, we transfer you to Calafate airport for the flight to Bariloche. Upon arrival in Bariloche, we transfer you to your hotel.
Day 8: Bariloche Llao Llao Peninsula (Short Circuit)
We leave the city behind to take in the breath taking views offered by Llao Llao Peninsula’s short circuit. Home to a number of protected species as well as the iconic Llao Llao Hotel, the peninsular is nothing short of spectacular. We begin on the southern shore of the famous Lake Nahuel Huapi before heading to Mt Campanario where we take a 10 minute chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. With an abundance of forests, mountains and lakes, today is picture postcard perfect and with numerous stops along the way we will ensure that you have ample opportunity to capture these unforgettable sights. Includes transfers from Central Hotels.
Day 9: Bariloche: Lake Nahuel Huapi Navigation
This half day tour sees us drive to Puerto Pañuelo to board a catamaran that crosses the majestic Lake Nahuel Huapi to Quetrihue Peninsula: here we wander among distinctive forests of Arrayanes trees. We return to the boat to sail to Victoria Island, where there is more time to enjoy the local flora and fauna, before returning to Bariloche. Overnight at the hotel in Bariloche.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport for onward destination.
Private transfer to the airport for your outward flight from Bariloche.Arrive at Iguasu airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 11: Iguazu Falls
We spend the day on a tour of the Argentinean side of the Falls. Here you can ride the Rainforest Ecological Train, then wander the many walkways that get you right up close to the deafening roar of the awe-inspiring Garganta del Diablo – Devil’s Throat! We return to the hotel where we spend the night.
Day 12: Iguazu: Trf out & Brazilian Fall
Today we see the falls from the Brazilian side of the border. After arriving at the visitor centre, we board buses for a tour of the park. Equipped with panoramic windows, the buses are designed to maximize your views of the falls, while the walkways and steps allow you to get up close to the spray. Views of the Floriana Falls, the Devil’s Gorge Canyon and the Iguazu River are spectacular and are guaranteed to impress. National park fee included. After the tour you will be transferred to the airport.
