Easter Island is one of the most isolated places on the planet. The closest landmass is Chile, some 3,000 km to the east. Easter Island is home to the giant stone Moai who are the watchful guardians of the island.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer from Mataveri Airport to your hotel.
Day 2: A full day to visit to the stone ruins at Ahus Vaihu and Akahanga along the south coast of the island. Later we drive to Rano Raruku, the quarries where the stones monuments (Moais) were once made. We also visit the local petroglyph. In the afternoon we move on to Te Pito Kura and the beach of Anakena before finally returning to the hotel.
Day 3: Today we spend half day at the Rano Kao Crater Lake. We move onto the ceremonial village of Orongo – where the “birdman” culture once crowned their Kings. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy the town of Hanga Roa.
