Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi-Maasai Mara. Pick up from Nairobi hotel or international airport and drive to Maasai Mara passing through the highly agricultural highlands of the Eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, you will have a stopover at the view point. At 2,200 meters above sea level, views of Mount Longonot hundreds of meters below on the Rift Valley floor are spectacular. Lake Naivasha - the highest in altitude of the Rift Valley lakes sparkles at a distance. Descend the escarpment to Narok, a small town on the valley floor proceed to Masai Mara to be in time for lunch at. After lunch relax and have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge or similar.
Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Morning game drive. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara SImba Lodge or similar.
Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park. Breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving by lunchtime. Lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge. This is a bird paradise and rhino sanctuary and also a World Heritage site. Afternoon game drive around the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park. After breakfast at the lodge, drive via Nairobi and Namanga to the Amboseli National Park set on the foot of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro (the rooftop of Africa). Amboseli National Park has a prolific population of elephants. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Lunch and an afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park. Depart for an early morning game drive. Relax by the pool after having a leisurely breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. Lunch and afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar.
Day 6: Amboseli N.Park-Ngorongoro. Breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive via the border post of Namanga to Arusha. Lunch at the Cultural Heritage in Arusha (or pick packed lunches) and proceed to drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Arrive for half day crater tour in the afternoon followed by check in. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After breakfast, depart for a full-day tour of the crater floor with picnic lunches from the lodge. Later return in the evening to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park. Breakfast is at your lodge. Depart with packed lunches and drive to the Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequaled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of prehistoric man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered. Proceed on a visit of the Masai Village en route and onwards with en route game drive as you proceed for check in. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 9: Serengeti National Park. All day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Lake Manyara National Park. Depart after breakfast and drive with packed lunches to Lake Manyara National Park. Proceed straight on game drive in the Park and later check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
Day 11: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha – Namanga. Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha and proceed for lunch at the Cultural Heritage before proceeding to the Namanga border.
