Lake Nakuru whose claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and over 400 species of birds found here. This soda lake on the floor of the rift valley is host to millions of flamingos and an important refuge for endangered species - particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara. You will depart to Maasai Mara passing through the highly agricultural highlands of the Eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, you will have a stopover at the view point. At 2,200 meters above sea level, views of Mount Longonot hundreds of meters below on the Rift Valley floor are spectacular. Lake Naivasha - the highest in altitude of the Rift Valley lakes sparkles at a distance. Descend the escarpment to Narok, a small town on the valley floor proceed to Masai Mara to be in time for lunch at. After lunch relax and have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge. Includes (B, L, D).
Day 2: Masai Mara. Full day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. An optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru. After breakfast depart Masai Mara to arrive at Nakuru in time for lunch which is located in Lake Nakuru National Park, which has a fantastic array of bird life. Seasonally up to a million flamingos reside along the lake shore giving the lake a pink hue. This Park is also a sanctuary for both the black and the white rhino. Also found in the park is the rare Rothschild giraffe, Makalia falls within the park is an additional attraction. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Includes: (B, L, D).
Day 4: Lake Nakuru-Nairobi. After breakfast proceed to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon.
