Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. Transfer to Anomabo beach resort.
Day 2: After breakfast, short tour discussion then tour to Elimina- and Cape Coast–Castle.
Day 3: After breakfast, tour to the Kakum National Park.
Day 4: After breakfast, take off towards Kumasi- capital of the Ashanti region and seat of Ashanti King- to visit the Palace Museum and the Market, which is the largest market in West Africa, then to the Lake “Lake Bosomtwe” where we shall spend the night. A falling meteorite formed the lake 1.3 million years ago. Overnight at the “Bosomtwe Paradise Hotel."
Day 5: Early departure from hotel toward Sunyani to Techiman. We will visit the Monkey Sanctuary in Beabeng– Fiema about 30 km inside the bush Of Kintampo. Overnight in Techiman.
Day 6: On our way to the “Mole Nationalk Park” we will stop at the Kimtampo Waterfalls and continue to the “National Park” in the north of Ghana. In the afternoon, foot safari through the park. Overnight at the Mole Motel.
Day 7: Foot safari through the “Mole National Park" led by experienced guards. The park covers an area of 4840 sq. km and is home to 92 different animal species including Elephants, Monkeys, Antelopes, Cobs, Crocodiles, Lions, etc.
Day 8: After breakfast drove to Larabanga where we shall visit the oldest mosque in Ghana and where one of the original copies of Koran is kept. Then we continue to tamale, which is the capital of the Northern Region where we shall visit the arts market. A free afternoon for everybody.
Day 9: We leave Tamale after breakfast to visit the Tachiman market where we will visit a typical Ghanaian market.
Day 10: After breakfast we visit the “Tachiman Grotto"- the bizarre rock formations in the thick forest and hills surrounding the city. This is a selected spot by the Catholic Priest of the Tachiman parish for meditation and spiritual meditation. Things to discover includes boreholes for potable water, a well designed “way of the cross,” a huge cross with the crucified Christ and others.
Day 11: We drive through Kumasi after breakfast to Anomabo. Overnight at the Anomabo Beach Resort.
Day 12: Beach day at the Anomabo Beach Resort.
Day 13: In the morning of the last day of our “cross country tour” we take of to Accra the capital of Ghana. We will tour the town with its museums, arts market and the Dr. Wake Nkrumah mausoleum. Dr. Nkrumah was Ghana’s first President. Before we set off to the airport where our “Cross Country Tour” will treat ourselves to a typical Ghanaian meal at the “Country Kitchen” Restaurant.
