Activities include fascinating guided rock art walks, botanical tours, game viewing (plains game) and sunset game drives in open land rovers. There are also mountain bikes for your use to explore the reserve on your own and some beautiful walks. Bushmans’ Kloof is a privately owned wilderness reserve and has been declared a South African Natural Heritage site.

Days 8-9: Travel from the Cedarberg, through the winelands to historic Stellenbosch, a picturesque town at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, and two nights accommodation at the Klippe Rivier Homestead. Set on the outskirts of the town it is a magnificent Cape Dutch Homestead, circa 1820, with gleaming yellowwood floors and fine antiques. Luxurious spacious en suite bedrooms, some under thatch, some with fireplaces, all individually designed for relaxed privacy. Salt water pool. Diverse bird life with owls in the oaks. Visit the Drosdy Museum, Breede River wine route, or Bontebok Park before returning to the peace of the farm to sip a fine Cape wine and enjoy sublime country cooking.

Days 10-12: Today venture into the Garden Route for an easy three hour beautiful coastal drive, traveling through Knysna and onto Plettenberg Bay and three nights in a Garden Suite at the popular Hunters Country House.
