Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: USA fly Beijing China.
Day 2: Arrive in Beijing. Met and transfer to hotel. Given time, city view tour along the Central Business District Avenue. Being the capital as well as the center of politics, economics and culture of China, Beijing has become a very welcoming and pleasant city after its hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games. King Wu was the first to declare Beijing the capital city in 1057 BC. Subsequently, the city has gone by the names of Ji, Zhongdu, Dadu, and finally Beijing when the Ming Dynasty Emperor ChengZu chose the name in 1421. Before 1949, Beijing was known as Peking by the Western world. After 1949, the city's name returned to Beijing, as it is known today. Beijing has a whole area of 16808 sq km (about 6500 sq mi), stretching 160 kilometers from east to west and over 180 kilometers north to south, boasting a total population of 17 million people.
Day 3: Buffet Breakfast. Your day tour takes you outside the Beijing area through the surrounding countryside to see some of the most impressive sights in China. Along the way, visit the Cloisonn騦 Art Works to experience the meticulous craftsmanship of Chinese artisans in the ancient style. Visit the strikingly beautiful Eastern Juyonguan section of the Great Wall. From here you'll have an opportunity to climb higher to a magnificent vista of the dragon-like arms and legs of the Wall stretching in various directions across the countryside.
Lunch at Friendship Longdi Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the largest food and home utensil market in Beijing - Da Zhong Si, enjoy free time there and taking pictures of those interesting subjects. Peking Roasting Duck lesson at Fragrance Restaurant, where senior chef will instruct the way to prepare, to roast and to serve the authentic Peking Duck.
Day 4: Buffet Breakfast. Morning tour first to Tian'anmen Square, the largest city square in the world covering a total space of 44 hectares and capable of holding 3 million people each time. Then proceed to visit the Forbidden City (called in Chinese Purple Royal City), where 24 emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasty (1420-1911) ascended their throne. The imperial City has 9999.5 rooms for imperial family members, concubines and eunuchs. Lunch at Shouting Restaurant to enjoy the authentic local food. Afternoon lesson at Chinese Cooking School to learn two to three popular courses of Chinese cuisine. Dinner at the famous Noodle restaurant with performance in front of the table of the making of various noodles.
Day 5: Buffet Breakfast. Tour to Summer Palace, one of the four most beautiful gardens in China and lived by imperial families. The whole garden was man-made and is about 8 times the size of Forbidden City. Characteristics of typical Chinese garden could be found at every corner inside, plus the most ingenious Fengshui arrangements of water and hills. Then visit the Pearl Market and view the many designs, colors, and textures of pearls from this part of the world.
Lunch there to see demonstration of the chef there about Chinese cuisine selections. Afternoon lesson at Chinese Cooking School to learn two to three popular courses of Chinese cuisine. Enjoy a traditional reflexology at the famous Tong Reng Tang Pharmacy and enjoy a brief lecture about TCM by senior in-house doctors. Dinner at the fabulous Capital Garden Restaurant, which features Shandong and Canton Food.
Day 6: Buffet Breakfast. China is the very few countries in the world without a national religion; however superstition is dominating the local life serving as a mixture of philosophical and spiritual factors. Chinese emperors always thought themselves superior to all religions in the world, and they themselves as the son of the Almighty God. Today, we will visit Temple of Heaven, the sacred site that Chinese emperors will visit twice a year (winter and summer solstice) to pray to the heaven for good harvest of the nation. Lunch at a popular Fusion restaurant, a combination of western style but Chinese essence.
See one of China's most breathtaking temples, the historic Tibetan Lama Temple, a working monastery that contains one of the world's largest gilded Buddhas, standing three stores. Then we will visit a local chef's family to see how a famous chef cooks at home, who will also lead to select the vegetables and seasonings from a local market for a gourmet homely dinner. At his home, he will teach how to prepare the vegetables and Chinese etiquette of tables. Dinner with the family.
Day 7: Buffet Breakfast. As a living fossil in the cat category, Pandas have been the favorite of millions of people. And the Beijing Zoo is the place with the most pandas besides the panda's hometown-Sichuan. The newly built Olympic panda garden has made it rather accessible to see the cute pandas chewing the arrow bamboos. Then visit the famous Silk Museum and store to see how the thousands of cocoons be boiled, washed, threaded and reeled into miraculous shining silk products.
Lunch at one of the best Buddhist restaurants in Beijing with all delicately prepared vegetarian food. A lecture will be given by the chef there about the selection and preparation of Buddhist food. Visit one of the largest cooking utensil markets in Beijing. Take a short visit to the new highlight of Beijing, the incredible Olympic Village with its Bird's Nest Stadium. Enjoy an exhilarating Bai Traditional Dinner and Show.
Day 8: Transfer to airport and take the flight home.
