Our Coiba and Cocos Island combination expedition dates are as follows;

- 21st February to 4th of March.
- 30th May to 10th June.
- 5th September to 16th September.

Tour Itinerary:

We suggest you arrive in Panama at least one day before vessel departure. You will be met at Tocumen International Airport by our representative and transported to your hotel. You will be able to enjoy the cafes, restaurants, bars and night life of this bustling Latin city.
Ground transportation and 1 nights accomodation in 3 Star catagory Hotels are included in your package.

Day 1: At 6.30am you will be met by our guide at the arranged meeting points at hotels in Panama City. Our guide will accompany you on the coach ride to Puerto Mutis, a small inter-tidal river port in the province of Veraguas. This journey takes around 3.5 hours. On arrival, a 30 minute transfer by tender to MV. Yemaya, at anchor amongst the ancient mangrove forests of the Gulf of Montijo, a Ramsar Site, recognized for its international importance for Marine Birds.
Once aboard, we set sail for our first destination, the Park Ranger Station on Coiba Island. During this cruise, lunch will be served. You will have time to settle into your cabin, prepare your dive and camera equipment. We will introduce our crew and deliver briefings on safety aboard MV. Yemaya and an introduction to the dive deck and dive program aboard.

Our afternoon check out dive/dives will be at sites at Frijoles or Isla Rancheria, in the heart of the Coiba National Park. These dives will give you opportunity to test your dive gear, weighting and camera system, and an insight to ocean conditions and the beauty and abundance of the marine environment of the Coiba and Gulf of Chiriquí region. We take the time on these dives to prepare for a great week of diving.

Day 2: Pinnacles and Sea Mounts of The Archipelago of Contrearas.

Early morning we will pick up anchor and cruise north to the islands of Contreras. Two morning dives on sea mounts, followed by an afternoon dive on one of the islands many shallower pinnacles. Returning to the same site in the evening for our night dive. These sites are a fisherman’s dream, an abundance of large schooling fish and frequented by Bull and Hammerhead Shark. Sites are decorated with sea fans and marine sponges.

Day 3: Pinnacles and Sea Mounts of Ladronnes Island.

This wind swept group of islands is a mini version of Isla Malpelo. Little vegetation here, just thousands of breeding sea birds. To the south and west of Ladronnes, water depths plunge into the abyss. There are several sea mounts that sit right on the edge of the drop off. To the north, the peaks of an underwater volcanic ridge offer some great shallower diving. The underwater terrain here is very irregular, jagged rock formations pierce the ocean floor and rise towards the surface at acute angles. Ladronnes is one of the best diving locations in the Gulf of Chiriquí and offers a real contrast in dive sites and marine activity. After a full days dive program, we lift anchor for an overnight cruise to Golfito, Costa Rica. Approxiamatly a 8 hour away.

Day 4: Early, early AM and while our guests are sleeping, we clear immigration and continue en-route to Isla Cocos. This day is a travel and relaxing day, a chance to take some sun and enjoy the hospitality of Yemaya and her crew.

Day 5: Travel day.
Arriving at Cocos in the afternoon.
Check out dive at Isla Manuelita.

DAY 6:
3/4 Dives per day at Isla del Coco. Including night dive.

DAY 7:
3/4 Dives per day at Isla del Coco. Including night dive.

DAY 8:
3/4 Dives per day at Isla del Coco. Including night dive.

DAY 9:
3/4 Dives per day at Isla del Coco. Including night dive.

DAY 10:
3/4 Dives per day at Isla del Coco. Including night dive.

Day 11:
2 AM Dives at Isla del Coco. After lunch our crew will prepare Yemaya for an afternoon departure to Panama.

Day 12: Travel Day.
Chance to pack and dry your dive gear and relax as we cruise back into Panamanian waters.

Day 13: Early morning we arrive back in Golfo Montijo, Panama. After breakfast our crew will assist you with you luggage and transport you to Puerto Mutis where you will be met by our guide who will accompany you on the return trip by coach to Panama City.
