Destinations to Visit: Phnom Penh / Siem Reap. Cambodia is a country unrivaled in both natural and man-made wonders. It is a destination with such atmospheric charm that any visitor to the region will be taken aback by its rich cultural heritage. To see all that Cambodia has to offer alone would take weeks, but thanks to Exotissimo's dedicated knowledge we are able to offer you the very best of the country over a period of four days. Specifically tailored to suit your budget, we ensure that you get the greatest possible experience from this unique region.

You will first arrive in the capital city of Phnom Penh. Surrounded in colonial architecture, it is a wonderful place to gain first-hand experience of the country's checkered past and information that will serve to enlighten the rest of your visit. Perhaps the highlight of any trip to Cambodia is getting to witness some of the most striking temples in the world. Siem Reap is home to the vast and elaborate temples of the Angkor era, including the famous Angkor Wat. Exploring its detailed carvings and bas-reliefs is an unforgettable experience for anybody visiting the region.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Phnom Penh: Touch down in Phnom Penh and transfer to your hotel. The city was once considered one of the most beautiful in the Orient, and despite its recent turbulent history it still retains a colonial charm. In the afternoon you will get to visit the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda and the Royal Palace to learn about the country's remarkable past before visiting the founding place of the city, Wat Phnom hill. Overnight at Cambodiana Hotel, Phnom Penh. Includes: (B).

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap: Transfer to Phnom Penh Airport after breakfast for the morning flight to Siem Reap. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. On arrival begin a tour of the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon, Baphoun, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon you will get to visit the magnificent 12th century Angkor Wat, the largest religious monuments in the world, where you will get to watch sunrise before returning to the hotel. Overnight at Victoria Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap. Includes: (B).

Day 3: Siem Reap: A second day to explore the wondrous ancient ruins starting with the Grand Circuit in the morning where you will see Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Poan and Preah Khan. In the afternoon continue to Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Chau Say Tevoda, Thommanon, and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, surrounded by overgrown jungle and vines. The day ends with another spectacular sunset at Phnom Bakheng. Overnight at Victoria Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap. Includes: (B).

Day 4: Siem Reap Departure: After breakfast, there is a choice between an excursion to Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre or a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake (best from July to February).
