* Botanical Gardens.
The Botanical Gardens are world renowned for the horticultural diversity and beautiful landscaping; the gardens encompass 30 hectares, nestled between the loop of the Avon River and Hagley Park. There are several distinctive areas, an arboretum, formal rose garden, water and rock gardens herbaceous borders of perennials, glasshouses, and Native New Zealand trees and plants.
This delightful garden has something different to offer you all year round. These gardens are extensive to walk around, should you require a mobility scooter to help you enjoy these gardens, this can be arranged for you at no extra cost, but please advise us of this at the time of booking. (Subject to availability).
* Mona Vale.
Mona Vale is a Victorian homestead surrounded by English style gardens. The homestead is now a café / restaurant and is noted for its high tea's. The garden features English and European trees, roses, rhododendrons, a fernery and bathhouse. There are seasonal beds of annuals and herbaceous perennials. This is a superb setting, set on the banks of the River Avon. At both venues you will be free to explore the gardens. On the completion of this tour we will return you to your city accommodation.
