This area is at the forefront of New Zealand's wine making production and is renowned for its Pinot Noir, Rieslings, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnays. To appreciate the procedures of wine making we have specifically chosen, family owned and operated boutique wineries, whose fine wines are perfected by traditional hand crafted methods. Your tour will give you time to discover the wine making process in the heart of the Waipara region.
We will then visit Daniel Schuster's Vineyard for a personalized tour, Stand and enjoy the vista of this wonderful setting, a true appreciation of this boutique organic winery and the ambiance of this delightful region. This is a far cry from the mass production wineries, one would normally associated with a wine tour. We also visit the Torlesse vineyard to appreciate the traditional wine making methods still utilized by this winery, with great success. We also sample their port and unique Cassi liqueur. Notes:
