Let's take you on a journey of your lifetime. From the city that is bursting with life, to the alluring sceneries of Amboseli. This park is on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro also well known as the roof of Africa. Crisscrossing our trail again, we shall proceed to the big game country of Maasai Mara in the heart of the Maasailand. From the highly celebrated Mara we will move on to our last destination, Lake Nakuru past the rugged volcanic features in the countryside around Lake Elementaita. Our mission in Nakuru is to visit its lake and watch its wildlife with a sizeable number of black and white rhinos among other wildlife. The park is also known for its great conglomeration of flamingos and other water birds.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Nairobi for Amboseli at 06:30 hours driving south through the volcanic strewn hills that is full of acacia bushes. Our arrival in Amboseli is in the better hours of the morning upon which we shall enjoy our first game drive on our way to the camp for lunch and a rest. We shall leave again in the afternoon for another wildlife drive in search of more game in front of Mount Kilimanjaro. We shall drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Today we shall leave Amboseli for Maasai Mara at 06:30 hours enjoying our last game drive on our way out. Passing through Nairobi we will drop down to the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley having a stopover to capture some images of the Great Rift Valley. Drive past the picturesque volcanic mountains of Longonot and Suswa before continuing to the Mara. Our arrival in the Mara is before lunch and for this we will check in and have a rest while waiting to have lunch. We will have a Maasai village excursion after lunch to be followed by an afternoon game drive in search of the big five and other game including zebras, impalas, gazelles, elands, giraffes, warthogs and much more. Dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3: An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds in the Mara. This total exploration will lead us all the way to 'the River of Life and Death', the Mara River, where we will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch will here while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating wildlife and sceneries on our way back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: After an early breakfast, we will leave the Mara for Lake Nakuru. It's here that your ornithology fever shall be managed and the fear of rhinos shall also be tamed! We are here not only for birds but also for the big 4 and other wildlife species. This is also a rhino breeding sanctuary where we will be able to view black and white rhinos and also the Rothschild's giraffe. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 5: This day starts with us breaking camp for an early morning drive in search of more game. This could also be our best opportunity of spotting the least seen African cat, the leopard. We will move on to the vantage and hilarious Baboon's Cliff for a bird's eye view of the lake and its pink shoreline where we will prepare our breakfast while enjoying this panoramic vista. From the cliffs we will do our game drive as we drive out of the park for Nairobi where this safari ends in the afternoon.
