Being the continent's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro has it all. It's is the heartbeat of the dry plains around it with all the inhabitants of the plains. On five days this safari will take you to the memorable trails in a timeless typical African safari pace. Beginning with the popular soda ash lake of Magadi with it hostile environment we will sample its rare bird species before moving on to the second popular tourists' destination Amboseli we let us sample together with you what Tsavo West has.
Gone are the bad days of the Man-eaters' Of Tsavo and poaching and now the park is beaming with now hope of the neighboring communities coexisting in harmony with wildlife. This isn't just a journey to see wildlifeit's a journey that shows you more than wildlife, sceneries, Mount Kilimanjaro from different angles and without missing to beautiful people and their cultures.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Nairobi for Lake Magadi at 06:30 hours via the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley having a stopover on the route to capture and enjoy images of the Great Rift Valley floor beneath us. We will drive past the dry Maasai plains on our to the sun-baked countryside of Lake Magadi. We are here for some fascinating views and the its rare bird species. We will then drive back and visit the Ologosaille museum for some documented discoveries on the man's evolution. We shall enjoy a picnic lunch here before driving to the Ngong.
Day 2: Leave Ngong Hills at 06:30 hours driving south through the volcanic strewn hills that is full of acacia bushes. Our arrival in Amboseli is in the better hours of the morning upon which we shall enjoy our first game drive on our way to the camp for lunch and a rest. We shall leave again in the afternoon for another wildlife drive in search of more game in front of Mount Kilimanjaro. We shall drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: We will today leave Amboseli in the morning after breakfast for Tsavo West national park. Our arrival here is in time for lunch. We shall have an afternoon siesta before leaving the camp for a late afternoon game drive in search of the big five and other game and without forgetting our feathered friends, birds. Back to the camp for an overnight stay.
Day 4: An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds in the Tsavo. We will visit several hotspots namely, Chaimu Crater, Shatani lava terrain, Mzima Springs among others. We will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch while here while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating wildlife and sceneries on our way back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 5: This day starts with us leaving the camp after breakfast for our last game drive in search of more game. We will then drive out of Tsavo national park for Nairobi driving here in the early afternoon marking the end of this tour ends in the afternoon.
