This absolute expedition that will bring you personally into amazing close-ups with nature, awesome sceneries, colorful and warm cultures in 12 days. From the modernity of Kenya's capital, Nairobi, we move to the primitive but surprisingly admirable traditional lifestyles of the Samburu and the Maasai. Leave behind Samburu's harshness and remoteness and be welcomed by the equatorial atmosphere of the unspoilt and unmatched admirable primates and birdlife of Kakamega Forest.

Back to the Rift Valley get mesmerized with walking and cycling safaris around the beautiful environment of Lake Naivasha before hitting the road to the majestic Maasai Mara with its undisputed wildlife presentation and viewing opportunities amidst the golden and expansive rolling grassland plains dotted with scattered trees and hills. Crisscrossing our safari trail again we drive on further south through Nairobi to Amboseli. The right place for viewing of elephants against the magical picturesque backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, the roof tower of Africa.

Amboseli again has some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities especially with its vehicletolerant African elephants, prides of lions and cheetahs among others. From here we drive to Nairobi where this safari ends.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart Nairobi at 06:30 hours for Samburu through the picturesque countryside that is dominated by Africa's second highest mountain, Kenya. We will stop en-route for photos before our arrival in Samburu at lunch time. Settle down for lunch and then proceed for an afternoon game drive in search of the "Big Five" and the unusual game of this arid game reserve. Back in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: An early game drive in pursuit of more game and birds of Samburu land. Breakfast is to be followed by an excursion in a neighbouring Samburu village for a traditional experience. Like the Maasai's, Samburu's leave with wild animals in total harmony and in return they have managed to have a share in the tourism industry "cake". Back for lunch and a quick nap then leave again in the afternoon for an evening game drive before coming for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: An early wake-up call for breakfast followed by an outward game drive on our way to Lake Baringo arriving here in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: After breakfast we will leave the Great Rift Valley via Tugen hills for the higher altitudes of Kakamega Forest. We arrive here shortly after lunch. This forest is respected for its magnificent birds and butterflies species that are not found elsewhere in the country. We will take a short nature walk in search of its endemic birds and also monkeys. Back for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: This morning after breakfast we will leave our camp for a long nature walk in the forest in search of birds, primates, gigantic indigenous trees and water falls. Packed lunch is to be served in the forest. We return in the late afternoon for a rest then dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6: This morning after breakfast we will leave this beautiful equatorial rain forest via the dramatic Nandi escarpment and the tea lands of Kericho to Lake Nakuru. We arrive in Lake Nakuru and enjoy our game drive with the "Big Four", Rothschild giraffes, impalas and much more including the white and black rhinos. Our arrival at the camp is in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: An early wake up call for breakfast before enjoying a sunrise game drive in search of more animals. We will also enjoy the unsurpassed breathtaking scenery of the lake and its pink carpet of flamingos at the Baboons' Cliff. From here we drive out for Lake Naivasha arriving here for lunch and then a walking safari in the Crater Lake. Back for an early dinner and then dash out of the camp again for the unknown African on a night safari where we are expecting to see the nocturnal lives of the game. Back to the camp for overnight.

Day 8: Today we will have an opportunity of hiring mountain bikes and tackle a cycling safari to the "devils" of Hells Gate Park. Having packed lunch we do have an absolute escape from the van. The looming cliffs of Hell's Gate are awesome and truly inspiring to conquer. However, we will cycle while watching game and birds to the gorge where we will do a short walking safari to see the cold, warm and hot springs in the Hell's "kitchen". Back in the afternoon we will have time to get romantic while enjoying the sunset cruise on Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 9: After an early call for breakfast we leave Naivasha for the "Big" game country of Maasailand, in the Maasai Mara. Yes! Mara is the place that we can't afford to miss. Our grand welcome begins by exploring a Maasai village just before the reserve for their admirable style and yet traditional life. We are here for a dance or two and much more about their undying culture. From here we move on into the rolling and dappled plains of the majestic Mara with an afternoon game drive in search of the "Big Five", birds and much more. Our main expectation also is to see wildebeest on the migration to the Mara from Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 10: Having high spirits of adventure, we leave the camp after breakfast for our total and absolute game drive of the day. We will utilize our ability, skills and patience to get the best out of the Mara in terms of wildlife viewing and photography. At the famous Hippo Pools is the spot where we will settle down and enjoy our sumptuous and delicious picnic lunch before our afternoon game drive session on our way back. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 11: Our day starts early today after an extra-ordinary early breakfast. We leave the Mara for a long drive to Amboseli via the city life of Nairobi and driving further south to the shadow of Kilimanjaro which is also dubbed as the "Roof of Africa". Having one mission of being in Amboseli we will have our packed lunch in the van to enable us to arrive in Amboseli in the afternoon and enjoy our game drive with elephants in front of the towering Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is famous for it super-abundant species of animals that are also easy to spot due to its vast open plains. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
