With kilometers of beaches in Rio, the surf is of course one of the most popular sports of the city. In the west zone of Rio by macumba beach is fantastic social project called O'surf lead by surf shaper Henry Lelot. The objective of the project is to give opportunity to poor kids from nearby communities by learning how to surf, making boards and taking classes to become a surf guide.
There you'll be taking a class with the youngsters and instructors of the project according to the surf quick learning system created by the Australian Surf School and the International Surf Association which makes you within two hours already stand on a board and surf! After this unforgettable experience you will get also a small tour inside the project to get to know better what they do, and by doing this tour you'll be assisting this initiative which helps more than hundred kids and children.
