From August till the carnival (February/march), the Samba Schools (Samba associations of the Carnival) already get ready for the preparations for the biggest party on Earth. This is the moment where we have the opportunity of listening and seeing a fabulous bateria (drum group) and watch the incredible passistas (professional samba dancers) rehearsing for the carnival. In general the rehearsals are held on Friday/Saturday nights, so being here during this period is an opportunity not to be missed. This is tour is combined with a dinner at the popular local market of São Cristóvão.
