A river trip in Nepal is a wonderful way to explore and experience Nepal's natural and ethnic and cultural heritage. Rivers here are regarded as goddesses, and are included in a number of Hindu and Buddhist religious rituals.
The short Seti River makes for an ideal introduction to rafting. This is a really pleasant and colorful, 1 to 3 day trip with no big rapids but plenty of friendly small ones. From the put-in point at Damauli (2 hour drive from Pokhara), the Seti merges into the Trisuli on the second day.
