Our company offers you three of Dunedin's finest historical buildings in one convenient package. We will visit Olveston, former home to the Theomin family, and go on a tour of discovery of their lifestyle 100 years ago. You'll see unique artifacts and be amazed by the craftsmanship of a bygone era. Our next stop is Speight's Brewery, the "Pride of the South", founded in 1876. You'll be taken on a guided tour of this working brewery and learn its history. At the end of the tour, you'll get to taste their famous product!. Finally, we go to New Zealand's only castle, Larnach Castle on the Otago Peninsula.
On the way, you'll view more notable buildings and wonderful panoramic views of Dunedin and its harbour from the high road. More breathtaking views await you at Larnach Castle, where a full guided tour will explain the fascinating history of the castle, its original owner and his tragic end. Stroll through the 35 acres of gardens and grounds. There will be time to enjoy lunch if you wish (not included in tour price). At the end of the tour , we return to Dunedin via the low road and its many beautiful bays and coves.
