A visit to the rare mountain Gorillas in on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: 10 hours drive. Early morning departure. Via Masaka and Mbarara we reach Kabale in West-Uganda. From here we travel 95 km through the beautiful hills, sometimes called "Switzerland of Uganda. In the evening we will arrive in Kisoro. Here you will stay at the Travellers Rest hotel, famous for being the home of many scientist for more than 50 years. From this lovely place we will visit the Gorillas in Magahinga/ Rwanda or opening soon the new Gorilla group in South-Bwindi or Congo.
Day 2: At 08:00 we report at the offices with the Gorilla permits. This is the day for the Gorilla trekking, the trekking can take 4 up to 10 hours! This is of course depending on where the Gorilla family is. When the group (6 people max.) finds them they will stay max. 1 hour with the Gorillas.
Day 3: 10 hours drive. After breakfast we will drive back to Kampala. We will bring you to your hotel/guest house/campsite or if you continue your holiday somewhere else we bring you to Entebbe airport.
