Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel for overnight-bed & breakfast.
Day 2: After breakfast, walking safaris to Rau National Forest (1,903 ft /850m) for about 3 hours. This is a good opportunity to spot black and white colobus monkeys. Return back to the hotel for a good rest and lunch. Later in the afternoon you have the opportunity to wander around Moshi town. In the evening you return back to your hotel for a Kilimanjaro briefing and other leisure.
Day 3: Drive from Moshi (1,903 ft /850m) to Machame Gate (1750m), which takes about 45 minutes then begin hiking to the Machame Camp (3000masl) takes about 7-8 hrs of hiking.
Day 4: Continue climbing from the Machame Camp (9,843 ft /3000m) to Shira Camp (3840m) takes approximately 7-8 hour of trekking.
Day 5: From Shira Camp (3840m) to Barranco Camp (3950m) takes a hike of around 4- 5 hours. You climb high, descend and sleep at a lower elevation.
Day 6: From Barranco Camp (3950m) to Barafu Camp (15,092 ft/4600m)- about 5-6 hours of hiking.
Day 7: From Barafu (4600m) to Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft/5895m) takes about a 7-8 hour trek. You have arrived at the "Roof of Africa"! After taking in the amazing views and the reality of achieving a dream, you head back to the Mweka camp (10,171 ft /3100m) via Barafu camp requires an additional 6-7 hour hike. For many, the descent often is the most exhausting, with the anticipation of reaching the summit behind them.
Day 8: Mweka Camp (10,171 ft /3100m) to Mweka Gate (2000m) is about a 3-4 walk, then drive back to the hotel for a well deserved shower and a good sound sleep, gearing up for the further adventures to come.
Day 9: In the morning, drive from Moshi to Manyara National Park for game viewing of approximately a 4-hours. Overnight at a lodge.
Day 10: Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge (Historical site) for a museum tour then drive to Serengeti National Park game drive on the way. Overnight at the lkoma Permanent Tented Camp.
Day 11: After breakfast venture into the Corners of Wilderness Serengeti, for a full day of game viewing. Overnight back at the lkoma Permanent Tented Camp.
Day 12: Half day game drive in the Serengeti, drive to highland Ngorongoro.
Day 13: After breakfast, Ngorngoro enjoy a half day game drive in the crater, aftewards drive to Lake Eyasi.
Day 14: In Lake Eyasi you can have various activities with local tribes (Hadzabe- see cultural tours page) and late evening drive back to lodge.
Day 15: After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing then in the mid-afternoon drive to the airport to your catch flight back home, to Zanzibar (option) or to your hotel for overnight - bed & breakfast.
