Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at the Kilimanjaro Intenational Airport and transfer to your hotel for overnight -bed & breakfast.
Day 2: Drive from Moshi (1,903 ft /850m) to Machame gate (1750m) takes about 45 minutes then begin hiking to Machame camp (3000 masl), takes around a 7-8 hour hike.
Day 3: Continue climbing from Machame camp (9,843 ft /3000m) to Shira camp (3840m) takes approximately 7-8 hours of hiking.
Day 4: From Shira camp (3840m) to Barranco camp (3950m) takes around a 4-5 hour trek. You climb high, then descend lower for sleeping.
Day 5: From Barranco camo (3840m) to Barafu camp at the base of the summit (15,092 ft /4600m) takes about 5-6 hours of climbing.
Day 6: From Barafu (15,092 ft /4600m) to Uhuru peak (19,341 ft /5895m) is approximately a 7-8 hour climb. Congratulations are in order as you celebrate fulfilling the dream of arriving at the "Roof of Africa" then head back to the Mweka camp (10,171 ft /3100m) via Barafu camp an additonal 6-7 hours of hiking. Quite an exhausting day, but a day that you will remember fondly for your lifetime.
Day 7: Mweka camp (10,171 ft /3100m) to Mweka gate (2000m), takes about a 3-4 hike, then drive back to the hotel for a well deserved rest.
Day 8: The drive from Moshi to Manyara National Park for game viewing approximately of approximately a 4 hour game drive. Overnight at basic campsite -full board.
Day 9: The half day game drive in the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. In the late afternoon, you can have evening walk to water falls at Karatu, walk to see elephant caves, bird watching and cultural tourism. Overnight at campsite - full board.
Day 10: After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi the drive can takes about 1.5 hours in Lake Eyasi you can have various activities with local tribes (Hadzabe -see cultural tours page for more info)-full board.
Day 11: Drive to the Tarangire National Park for game viewing, then in the mid-afternoon drive to the airport to catching the flight back or to the hotel for overnight bed & breakfast.
