Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to alternative hotel for overnight -Bed & breakfast.
Day 2: Drive to Marangu Gate (1800m) for registration then begin hiking to Mandara Hut (2800m) takes about a 3-4 hour hike.
Day 3: Continue climb from Mandara Hut (2800m) to Horombo Hut (3850m) takes about 5-6 hours.
Day 4: From Horombo Hut (3850m) to Kibo Hut (4800m) takes around 5-6 hours of hiking.
Day 5: In depart in the middle of the night to ascend to the summit, Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft /5895m) via Gillman's Point (5695m), takes about 7-8 hours of climbing.You have arrived at the "Roof of Africa"! A dream come true! After taking in the amazing views and letting the reality of your achievment sink in, you then descend to Horombo Hut (3850m), which takes about 2-3 more hours.
Day 6: From Horombo Hut to the Marangu Gate, takes approximately 5-6 hours, then back to Moshi at the hotel for a well deserved sleep. Just enough time to prepare yourself for the further adventures that lie ahead.
Day 7: Drive from Moshi to Manyara National Park, for game viewing of approximately 4 hours. Overnight at campsite.
Day 8: After breakfast, drive to the world famous Serengeti National Park. Arrive at the campsite located within the park. In the evening, enjoy a game drive.
Day 9: After breakfast, venture into the Corners of Wilderness Serengeti for a full day game viewing.
Day 10: After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro and enjoy a half day tour in the crater. In the late afternoon, you can have an evening walk to waterfalls at Karatu walk to see elephant caves, bird watching and cultural tourism (option). Overnight at a campsite.
Day 11: After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing then in the mid-afternoon, drive to the airport to catch flight back home or to Zanzibar (optional) or to tour hotel for the overnight. Bed & Breakfast.
