We will begin this tour of colonial Quito at 09:00 a.m. We will begin in the Main Square, then proceed to the gold church of La Compaa, where almost 5 tons of goldleaf are said to cover the interior of this magnificent Baroque style church. Then we will visit the Church of El Sagrario and the Church of San Francisco, which dates back to 1534. We will continue with the museum of Colonial Art, located in an old colonial house. To complete this tour we will visit the house of Marquese de Solanda, Marshall Sucres wife. Here we will be witnesses to the way of life in those days. Time permitting, we can pay a visit to the wonderful San Diego Convent, and all of the hidden treasures found within this colonial building.
