Allalinhorn, Alphubel, Strahlhorn, Weissmies, the ice-fields of Tasch and Saas-Fee contain four superb Thirteeners peaks, incomparable belvederes on Matterhorn and Mount Rose. Glaciers broad as estuaries, vertical walls and seracs of the Mischabels, undulating slopes of Valais highlands, this tour is one of the most beautiful of Europe.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 Meeting time at Saas-Fee Tourist Office, 8.30 am. Transfer by Felskinn cable-car and Mittelallalin funicular till Mittelalallin, 11,338 feet asl. Easy ascent up to Allalinhorn, 13,212 feet, superb wiewpoint on all Valais peaks (possibility to leave the backpacks by the height 12,500 feet in order to be lighter on the last slopes). Descent to Mittelalalin, funicular down to Felskinn. Traverse to Britannia hut, 9,938 feet. Night by the hut.
Duration of walking: 4 hours. Difference of level : + 2,300 feet up, 2,037 feet down.
Day 2 From Britannia hut, roundtrip ascent with light backpacks of Strahlhorn, 13,747 feet. The route heads up on the glaciers Hohlaubgletscher and Allalingletscher, reaches the Adler pass, 12,431 feet, and then the Strahlhorn peak, superb wiewpoint on the nearby Monte Rosa peaks. Way down back to Britannia hut, and then to Felskinn cable-car station, height 9,813 feet. Cable-car down to Saas-Fee. Short transfer to Saas-Grund, night in a two stars hotel in Saas-Grund village.
Duration of walking: 6 hours. Difference of level : + 3,806 feet up, 4,068 feet down.
Day 3 Hohsaab cable-car till the upper station, height 10,164 feet. Ascent of Weissmies, 13,212 feet, with light backpacks. After a easy start, the route zigzags between the crevasses of the steepest part of the glacier Triftgletscher. A superb final ridge leads us to the Weissmies peak. Way down back to Hohsaab, cable-car down to Saas-Grund. Night in a two stars hotel in Saas-Grund village.
Duration of walking: 5 hours . Difference of level : + 3,048 feet up, 3,048 feet down.
Day 4 In the morning, short transfer in Täsch valley, till Stafelti mountain pasture, 6,808 feet. Pic-nic, and then ascent on Ottowan footpath up to Täsch hut, 8,861 feet. Night by the hut.
Duration of walking: 2 hours . Difference of level : + 2,053 feet up, 0 feet down.
Day 5 Ascent of Alphubel, 13,799 feet, with light backpacks. We leave the hut before dawn, climbing up on old moraines till Alphubel glacier. Easily zig-zaging on the soft slopes of the glacier, we reach the Alphubel pass, 12,408 feet. A traverse on the Feegletscher and a steepest slope bring us to the summit plateau and to Alphubel peak. Way down, back in our tracks, to Täsch hut, and then to Stafelti mountain pasture. Short transfer to Stalden. Separation in Stalden by mid-afternoon.
Duration of walking: 8 hours. Difference of level : + 4,938 feet up, 6,991 feet down.
