Tour Itinerary: Day 1: Meeting time at Saas-Fee Tourist Office is 8:30 a.m. Transfer by Felskinn cable-car and Mittelallalin funicular till Mittelalallin, 11338 feet above sea level. With light backpacks, easy ascent up to Allalinhorn (13212 feet) superb viewpoint on all Valais peaks (possibility to leave the backpacks by the height 12500 feet in order to be lighter on the last slopes). Descent to Mittelalalin, funicular and cable-car down to Saas-Fee. Short transfer to Saas-Grund. Night in a two stars hotel in Saas-Grund. Duration of walking and climbing is 3 hours. Difference of level is 1873 feet up, 1873 feet down. Day 2: Hohsaab cable-car till the upper station, height 10164 feet. Ascent of Weissmies (13198 feet) with light backpacks. After a easy start, the route zigzags between the crevasses of the steepest part of the glacier Triftgletscher. A superb final ridge leads us to the Weissmies peak. Way down back to Hohsaab, cable-car down to Saas-Grund. Night in a two stars hotel in Saas-Grund. Duration of walking and climbing is 5 hours. Difference of level is 3034 feet up, 3034 feet down. Day 3: In the morning, short transfer in Tasch valley, till Stafelti mountain pasture (6808 feet). Picnic, and then ascent on Ottowan footpath up to Tasch hut, 8861 feet. Night by the hut. Duration of walking is 2 hours. Difference of level is 2053 feet up, 0 feet down. Day 4: With light backpacks, ascent on Veingarten glacier till Mischabeljoch pass (12568 feet) and Mischabeljoch hut (12592 feet). Descent to Tasch hut. Night by the hut. Duration of walking and climbing is 6 hours. Difference of level is 3731 feet up, 3731 feet down. Day 5: Ascent of Alphubel (13799 feet) with light backpacks. We leave the hut before dawn, climbing up on old moraines till Alphubel glacier. Easily zig-zaging on the soft slopes of the glacier, we reach the Alphubel pass, 12408 feet. A traverse on the Feegletscher and a steepest slope bring us to the summit plateau and to Alphubel peak. Way down, back in our tracks, to Tasch hut, and then to Stafelti mountain pasture. Short transfer to Tasch. Separation in Tasch by mid-afternoon. Duration of walking and climbing is 9 hours. Difference of level is 4938 feet up, 6991 feet down.
