The 550-kilometer luxury rail journey between Cape Town and George, and then on to Knysna, a coastal jewel in the heart of the famous Garden Route, is rated one of the most beautiful in the world. From the Mother City, the Pride of Africa travels through the Du Toit Kloof Pass passing alongside vineyards, rolling wheatfields and racehorse stud farms in the Robertson Valley.

There's a stop to sample the famous wines of the district. Then it's on to the coast and the picturesque town of George. Guest who would like to visit Knysna please enquire regarding private transportation and wonderful accommodation.

09:20 - Depart Cape Town Station.
15:30 - Arrive Ashton. Wine tasting excursion.
19:30 - Dinner is served in the dining car/s as we travel towards Voorbaai

07:00 - Breakfast is served
09:00 - Arrive George.

George to Cape Town.

Day 1.

13:30 - Depart George. Rovos Rail, lunch is served as we pass through the Grootbrak and Kleinbrakrivers.
19:30 - Dinner is served in the dining car/s.

Day 2.

11:00 - Arrive Worcester. Guests enjoy a guided tour of KWV Brandy Distillers.
17:00 - Arrive Cape Town.
