Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s smallest parks, its vegetation is diverse, ranging from savanna to marshes and acacia woodland, enabling it to support a variety of habitats. Serengeti, which cover 14 763sq km and is contiguous with the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, is Tanzania’s largest and most famous national park. The Serengeti is famous for its lions, but you’re also likely to see Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, elands, impalas, klipspringers, and warthogs, as well as rich birdlife.

One of the Serengeti’s main attractions is the annual migration of wildebeest herds in search of better grazing. The Ngorongoro Crater is just one part of much larger area of interrelated ecosystems consisting of the Crater Highlands (to which the Ngorongoro Crater belongs) together with vast stretches of plains, bush and woodland. The entire Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) covers about 8300sq km.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha - Ngorongoro. Depart Arusha for Ngorongoro in the morning with packed lunch, half day crater tour. Overnight at Ngorongoro campsite/ Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge/ Ngorongoro Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 2: Ngorongoro - Serengeti. After breakfast drive to Serengeti with packed lunch via Olduvai Gorge for exploring the site. Then proceed to Serengeti game en-route, arrive Seronera (middle of Serengeti). Overnight at Serengeti campsite/ Serengeti Wildlife lodge/ Serengeti Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Serengeti. Full day exploring the plains of Serengeti with picnic lunch. Late afternoon back to the lodge/camp site for dinner and overnight at Serengeti campsite/ Serengeti Wildlife lodge/ Serengeti Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 4: Serengeti - Manyara. After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park via Ngorongoro, arrive for lunch then followed by afternoon game drive. Overnight at Lake Manyara campsite/ Lake Manyara Wildlife lodge/ Lake Manyara Serena lodge. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 5: Manyara - Arusha. After breakfast game viewing in the pack with a break for lunch, in afternoon drive back to Arusha. End of the tour.
