Tanzania southern circuit safari to selous game reserve,mikumi,ruaha and udzungwa national park.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Pick up from the Airport by Our guide transferred to Hotel, overnight on Bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Breakfast at the Hotel then depart to Mikumi National Park for overnight at Lodge Campsite, full board.
Day 3: Early morning walking safari and after breakfast at the Lodge/camp then go for Full day drive in Mikumi National Parks. Overnight at lodge/Campsite, Full board. Mikumi National Park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Mikumi National Park is home to buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras and leopards. The park is also famous for its wild dogs and 6m long pythons.
Day 4: Ruaha is approximately 5hrs drive from Mikumi. This is one of the most scenic routes in southern circuit, villages, hills, mountain, local agricultural projects on the great Ruaha River are some of the attractions on this route. Overnight at lodge/campsite, Full board.
Days 5 and 6: Morning and afternoon game drives in Ruaha National Park. Accommodation at lodge/campsite Full board. Ruaha National Park is Tanzania's 2nd biggest park and host to a number of animals which are rare or absent in the North. The rare animals include the African Wild dog, roan and sable antelope and the greater kudu. The Great Ruaha River that provides life to the park, flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds.
Day 7: Start the day with a morning game drive to Udzungwa National park. Overnight at Mountain view Hotel bed and breakfast.
Day 8: After breakfast, proceeds for a full day drive mountain hiking at Luhombero. Overnight at Tented Camp/Campsite, Full board. Udzungwa National Park is the newest, opened to the public 1992, and one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in Tanzania. Covering an area of 1900 sq km., the uniqueness of this park lies in its biodiversity in hosting a variety of animals and plant species not found anywhere else in the world. The red colubus and the Sanje crested manabrey, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and sable antelopes are some of the residents in this park. A good range of bird life is present which includes Rufous winged sunbird, Iringa akalat, Lagden’s bush shrike and Udzungwa partridge. Activities include a hike to the Sanje waterfalls or a climb to the top of the Luhombereo, Udzungwa highest peak.
Day 9: After breakfast depart for Selous Game reserve. Game drives starts as you enter the park through Matemwe gate. Overnight at Tented Camp-Lodge/Campsite Full Board.
Day 10: Morning boat safari in Rufiji River which will be followed by the full day game Drive. Overnight at Tented camp/ Campsite Full board.
Day 11: After break fast depart for Dar es Salaam and dropped at the Airport for the flight home.
