All the tours provided by All Seasons Theme Tours are designed specifically for the client's interests. We will correspond until an itinerary is agreed and then make booking arrangements. We suggest the following as a journey through the development of ships - but you may have your own ideas, if so we will incorporate them in our suggestions.
Your tour will include The Mary Rose (built 1510) the pride and joy of King Henry VIII, HMS Victory (1759) Lord Nelson's flagship at the battle of Trafalgar, HMS Warrior (1860) the first iron built armoured seagoing warship, HMS Belfast (1938), and the submarine HMS Alliance (1945).
Also SS Great Britain (1843) designed and built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel which was the first ocean going propeller driven iron ship with many innovations and now restored to its former glory. You will visit many other vessels from the age of sail and steam, voyage on the paddle steamer Kingswear Castle and visit the world's premier Maritime Museum at Greenwich.
Depending on the itinerary you will see a great deal of the English countryside, small towns and villages, lunches and dinners will be taken in pubs.
At extra cost a day's sailing on a 36ft sloop in the waters around the Isle of Wight on England's south coast can be arranged.
If you will be on holiday in London a day trip to some of the above can be arranged.
Notes:
Airfare is not included in the tour price.
The basic daily charge (not per person)for the guide/companion plus vehicle with unlimited mileage is £300 for a car/van and £450 for a small coach, both plus approx. £40 for driver's B and B.
