Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to the Hotel in Mendoza City, from the Airport or the Bus Station. Meeting with the Guide and equipment checking.
Day 2: Assistance in the obtainment of Aconcagua Park entrance permits. Transfer to Penitentes. Loading arrangements for mule transportation.
Day 3: Visit to the Mountain Climber Cemetery of Puente del Inca, transfers to Horcones. Entrance to the Aconcagua Park. 4 hs trekking to Confluencia 3.500 m. Camp reception and dinner.
Day 4: 5 h acclimatization trekking, Plaza Francia Confluence (4.200 m). Visit to the magnificent Southern Wall of the Aconcagua. Return to Confluencia. Dinner.
Day 5: 8 hs approximation trekking. From Confluencia to Plaza de Mulas (4.250). Base Camp Reception. Dinner.
Days 6-8: Rest and acclimatization. Load reorganization for porting. Medical check up. Equipment review and checking. Outskirts examination. Rest.
Day 9: Ascent from Base Camp, Plaza de Mulas and Camp 1, Approximately 4 hs to Plaza Canada (4.900 m). High altitude tent assembly. Hydration, rest and dinner.
Day 10: Ascent to Camp 2, Nido de Cóndores (5.400 m), aproximately 4 hs. High altitude tent assembly. Hidration, rest and dinner.
Day 11: Ascent from Camp 2 to Camp 3, Berlin (6.000 m), aproximately 4 hs. High altitude tent assembly. Hidration, rest and dinner. Strategic planification for the last ascension day.
Day 12: We climb the Northern edge up to the Independencia Refuge (6.500 m). We ascend to the “Portezuelo del Viento”. We cross the superior part of the West side and then climb “La Canaleta”. We go through the “Filo del Guanaco” that takes us to the summit, which we reach at 6.962 m. We descend to Berlin.
Days 13-14: Reserve day in case the climatic conditions are unfavorable. We only need a little bit of good weather to be able to face our final goal.
Day 15: Return to Base Camp. Special reception and celebration dinner.
Day 16: Load preparation for mule transport. Descent from Base Camp to Penitententes, 7 hs. Equipment gathering. Transfer to Hotel in Mendoza. Handing out of certificates.
Day 17: Airport.
