Day 1: After breakfast head to the southwest from Kampala. The drive takes you through the savanna grasslands and herds of Ankole cattle, which have heavy curved horns. Proceed to the Kigezi highlands normally referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced hills and winding roads plus the mountain scenery to the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Rest camp. Day 2: Prepare very early in the morning for an entry into the gorilla sanctuary, which is best known for fascinating gorillas. The rain forest has a steep forested landscape and is incredibly dense, with numerous crisscrossed animal trails making it accessible for tourists. Expect to see mammals like the endangered Mt. Gorilla, elephant, black fronted duiker, rare golden monkey, buffalo, bush buck, leopard, giant forest hog and extra. The time taken varies with the primates’ movement. It is very exciting and awesome to spend time and take photographs as these primates interact. Dinner and overnight stay at Volcano Tented Camp.
