Join me for an unforgettable photographic experience in one of the most stunning mountain ranges on Earth deep in Chilean Patagonia. From icebergs to orchids and mountain lions to eagles, Torrres has something for everyone with an interest in landscape and wildlife photography. View the photos above and become a believer.

Torres is stunning in all its seasons and while the spring months offer the best opportunities for seeing and photographing new additions to the fray, much is here all year round. I personally prefer the cold winter months, especially if snow is on the ground and tracking Pumas really steps up a gear. Flamingos sometimes spend the winter in the region, and it is quite strange to see Austral Parakeets screeching their heads off as the rocket through the southern beech forests. Only feet away is Lake Grey which is riddled with icebergs. These carve off all year from the mighty Grey Glacier, an icy arm of the Southern Patagonian Icecap. Whatever time of year you decide to visit, it will be an unforgettable experience.

I am a professional photographer and guide specializing in the wildlife of Patagonia, with my main emphasis being the awe inspiring Chiles Torres Del Paine National Park. Since my first visit in 1998 I have spent over 4 years inside this vast wilderness trekking climbing and crawling in order to capture much of its beauty and many of the plethora of wild species that inhabit this Patagonian Garden of Eden.

The region is a must see for any serious landscape or wildlife photographer and I believe the guiding service I offer is unparalleled due to the wealth of knowledge I have gained from my years spent just inside the parks borders. Winter -Spring-Summer and Fall I have lived through every season in the park including one straight 14 month period, so I believe the one to one and small group service I offer will result in you leaving here with the best possible results that can be achieved during your valuable time here.

Assisting you in every way possible in capturing the stunning results that can be obtained here, is my job. Locating the species, some easier than others of course, getting you as close as possible at the best times of the day, hopefully helping you see and photograph things such as the Patagonian Puma or the rare and endangered Southern Andean Huemul ( a deer species ) found in small numbers in certain locations. This can be achieved with small groups of 6 or less. The vehicles we use can carry 12+ but how much more comfortable is it when you have that extra space !. Also breaking the group in two and taking different routes helps to maximize the chances of spotting wildlife during the walks. My Chilean Driver / assistant and close friend keeps in touch via radio so we always have up to date info from locations other than the one we are in.

During my time in the park I built up a good relationship with all the park wardens and they are only to pleased to radio me when something unusual rears its head as they know I would be interested, therefore increasing again our chances of capturing rare images. The tours can be organized during any month of the year, but of course for wildlife photographers Spring ( december ) would be the optimum time as this is when the parks female Guanaco population is giving birth, and it will certainly be a time of heightened activity for the mountain lions especially females with hungry cubs, not to mention everything else that feeds on their leftovers, from foxes to the mighty Andean Condor.

The standard tour is 8 days duration with 6 days in the park. Tours are customizable. One to one tours for serious photographers with one specific species in mind or an intense cover as much as possible from sunrise to sunset as well as night time drives to spot mountain lions, can be arranged. I have on several occasions sat only spitting distance from adult Mountain Lions as they have fed on the carcass of a guanaco under the cover of darkness. ( see images in gallery ). Do not hesitate to e.mail me with your telephone number and I will be happy to call and answer any questions you have.

Airfare is not included in the tour price.
