The safari starts by traversing Kenya's central and northern sector visiting Mount. Kenya National Park and Samburu National Reserve. Down to the Rift Valley you make a stop at Lake Nakuru National Park before heading to the country's most popular game sanctuary, Maasai Mara Game Reserve. With a break in Nairobi, the safari proceeds to Amboseli and across Namanga border to all three mostly visited Tanzania's northern parks namely Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti Nat. Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Later we visit Lamu Island at the Kenyan Coast to sample the Swahili culture and relax at the beach
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be met by Our Safari Representative. You will be assisted through the airport formalities then proceed to the Stanley hotel.
Day 2: Mount Kenya
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kikuyu countryside to the lower slopes of Mount. Kenya arriving Naro Moru River Lodge in time for lunch. Relax the afternoon away. Dinner and overnight at Naro Moru
Day 3: Mount Kenya (Old Moses Camp)
After breakfast, drive to Sirimon Park Gate. After Check-in start hiking through the Rain Forest for 9 km to Old Moses camp (3300m). Dinner and overnight
Day 4: Mount Kenya (Shipton Camp)
Depart Old Moses Camp at 7:30 am via Mackinders Valley to Shipton Camp (4200m). The distance takes 6 to 7 hrs. Dinner and overnight
Day 5: Mt. Kenya (Point Lenana- Chogoria).
Early morning departure (3:00 am) to the summit, a walk that takes 3 hrs to point Lenana (4985m) arriving at 6:30 in the morning. After sunrise, descend to Mintos Hut for full breakfast and later proceed down through the Gorges Valley to Chogoria Bandas and campsite. Dinner and overnight
Day 6: Samburu
Depart Mountain Kenya after breakfast and drive north across the Equator to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge
Day 7: Samburu. Full days in Samburu. Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Samburu village. All meals and overnight at Samburu Lodge
Day 8: Lake Nakuru
Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls and arriving Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 9: Maasai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru in the morning and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving Mara Sarova in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp
Day 10 & 11: Maasai Mara
Two full days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary. Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Mara Sarova
Day 12: Nairobi
Depart Maasai Mara in the morning and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 13:00hrs. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight the Stanley Hotel
Day 13: Amboseli
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving Amboseli Ol Tukai Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 14: Lake Manyara
Early morning pre-breakfast game drive when you have the best chance to see Mt. Kilimanjaro. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast, then depart for Namanga border where you change driver/guide and vehicle then proceed to Arusha for lunch at Impala Hotel. Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Lodge.
Day 15: Serengeti
Morning game drive in Manyara Park, a park dotted with exotic trees such as the giant fig, baobab and mahogany and famous for lions that sprawl on trees. Depart after lunch for Serengeti Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Serengeti
Full day in Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives in the rolling grasslands studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see National Park. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge
Day 17: Ngorongoro
Another morning game drive in Serengeti, departing after lunch for Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge for a brief visit of the museum. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 18: Ngorongoro
After breakfast, descend into the crater floor with picnic lunch boxes for a full day crater tour. Return to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 19: Tranafser to Nairobi
Depart after breakfast and drive to Arusha for lunch at Impala Hotel, then drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 18:30hrs (a flying option is available). Drop at your hotel dinner and overnight at the Stanley hotel
Day 20: Nairobi
After breakfast visit the Bomas of Kenya. You will be treated with a rich traditional music and dance show in this cultural center. We recommend a lunch at the Carnivore, which is famous for the succulent stew and barbecue dishes of game meat as an excellent compliment to a holiday in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the Stanley hotel
Day 21: Lamu Island
Lamu Island is a unique medieval Swahili town with no roads or vehicles, its streets designed wide enough to allow only the passage of camels and donkeys. On a shopping spree there are carvings, brass & gold, Arab sea chests and lots of intriguing artifacts, not forgetting a visit to the interesting museum. Fly to Manda Island. A few minutes by boat takes you to Lamu Hotel for accommodation. Half board accommodation at Island Hotel.
Day 22: Lamu
Full day to relax, explore and shopping. Overnight at Island Hotel or similar
Day 23: Nairobi
Return to Manda Island for your connecting flight to Nairobi Airport, then departure flight back home.
