This is a wonderful holiday for lovers of the unspoiled nature, birds, splendid hotels, excellent wines, and gastronomic experiences. You can have a look at the Andrássy Castle, and taste special (Aszu) wines in the famous Tokaj Wine-Region. We will ride along idyllic landscapes of the River Tisza, and the Hortobágy National Park, see the traditional Hungarian domestic animals during a horse-carriage drive with a spectacular horse-show, cycle around Lake Tisza, and take a boat tour in this bird and watersport paradise. We will stay in a lovely thermal-hotel at the lake, and visit a beautiful castle, where the wellknown Austro-Hungarian Royal couple: Queen Elisabeth and Francis Joseph spent their holidays.

CYCLING DISTANCE: total 163 km / 102 m, daily 45 - 64 km / 28 - 40 m ITINERARY: Day 1: Arrival in Budapest Your hotel is at nice woods on the the Buda hills with lovely surroundings and a swimming pool. You will meet your guide at the reception, have a welcome drink, information about the tour, and dinner in the hotel. Day 2: We drive through the beautiful Andrássy Avenue, and towards the Tokaj Wine-Region, where we stop at the River Tisza to see the castle of the Andrássy family. The English-Gothic building is surrounded by a very beautiful park. We ride there near the Tisza, and we end up at a significant village of the Tokaj wine-region. We have a gourmet dinner with tasting special wines, such as the unique „Aszu”, the noblest sweetwine of the world, in an antique mansion where we stay. Day 3: We cycle along the Tisza and wonderful forests with a lot of birds, and picturesque landscapes of this untouched area. We have a lunch at a small Fishermen’s-Csárda at the river. After this nice rest we ride on to Lake Tisza. We stay 3 nights here in a very beautiful Spa-Hotel with a nice view of the lake, and lovely swimming pools. Day 4: We ride around Lake Tisza, a wonderful water-land and holiday resort, where people can enjoy watching birds, fishing, canoeing, as well as swimming, windsurfing, and other watersports. It belongs to the Hortobágy National Park, and the World Heritage. We will stop at a lovely little beach to swim, ride on the dam back to our hotel, and go to a small Csárda to enjoy the local specialities. Day 5: We get on little motor-boats to enjoy the peerless atmosphere of the lake. We will see plenty of big Water-Lilies, and Floating Hearts, and we can watch a lot of nice birds. We will get a deep insight into the extremely rich flora and fauna of the area, and then tasting the delicious Hungarian Fish Soup. After some rest, we go to the Hortobágy Puszta, the largest continuous steppe of Europe, a colorful mosaic of different natural habitats. We will take a horse-carriage drive with a spectacular horse show, where we will see the ancient Hungarian domestic animals as they live out in the nature. Then in an old Inn we will taste our famous Goulash. Day 6: We get to Gödöllö, where we will have a guided tour in one of the largest Baroque palaces of Hungary. We will visit the Royal suites of Queen Elisabeth and Francis Joseph, and a very interesting exhibition about their life. Then in our hotel in Budapest you can have some rest, or maybe a swim in the lovely swimming pool, before we have our farewell dinner.
